We at moon want to thank everyone for the amazing reception, it is because of our fanbase that we are able to do what do, and your feedback and passion for No Rest For The Wicked is what drives us.

please please. just wipe all accounts. the reason for this is many players will return and be confused their saves cant get into breach. other players will become confused that their account not updated to breach content. it is a hard sacrifice, but announce full account wipe so the pain is less and returning players have no confusion.

What a great update! I’m as eager as ever to play the game once it launches.

Time to dust this off! There’s a lot to digest with this and a good amount I will have to experience before a proper opinion is developed.

Food System Rework

This was a needed change to incentivize using stronger food and not surviving off Mushroom Soup. My concern is the right spot for the starting maximum and how much you can increase it further. On that note, increasing the maximum through Plague Ichor has only shined a light on the system as a whole, it feels out of place still.

New Enchantments

I went through and wrote down those new enchantments. They seem great so far. I will have to play around with them before I get a solid idea.

Bosses

Showing off a boss in the future might be a good idea, it sounded like some were sad/upset none were shown. The “plagued Darak” only displayed the same moves as well which would be disheartening.

New Areas

Not much to say here but the areas look amazing.

Misc.

I am curious on the shield changes. I don’t know if it will lower the difficulty of the game but I am curious nonetheless and am looking forward to it.

There was a lot to digest and I probably missed something, lol.

I love you, I liked everything that I saw, you are great fellows, and in the future I hope there will be more history and disclosure of the character and personality of the characters. You’re cool. Good luck with the development.

That’s a crazy amount of content, you guys are doing amazing work.

I do hope we could change the way chests work though. Right now, if I see a chest and can’t really figure out how to get to it, I don’t feel incentivized to spend time on it since I could just move forward and find other chests. I think chests should get a first-time open bonus like some guaranteed Embers.

W DEVS

More than half a year ago there were a lot of discussions here on the forum regarding various topics that have undergone changes with this update.

  • Farming specific items that dropped in specific areas at a certain tier*
  • Refight bosses
  • More in-depth enchanting (more control, love it)
  • Better plague ichor rewards
  • Different approach to healing

*No more farming T2 Crestfallen Knight gear that mostly drops in the sewer and then brick it with random enchanting :joy: :joy: :joy:

I know these are just a few and there are more, but this really shows your commitment to listening to your fanbase/audience. So, thank you for that, I wish there were more studios like that. Big W for you devs. Can’t wait to play Wicked again.

Also, idle curiosity, the talent trees, I can’t wait for those. I have full faith that you guys will design something amazing!

I don’t know what the community consensus is regarding the timers, but I for one have received them better than most, I did find them at launch to be much too long, but I think the implementation is a positive and with more tweaking and ways to progress them faster, more of the community will begin to see that perspective as well. This is a huge step forward.

At first glance, it does look to me like the amount of food you need to give to shave off just 10 minutes did seem pretty steep to me, but rather than reduce the price I think an increased time reduction is the better course, big commitment=equally big payout;
Though It’s been a while since I played the game so maybe I am misremembering the scarcity of food, but that was just my first impression.

Very excited to play the game through again with all the new content and already very notable improvements!

Hi all. I picked this game up a few months ago on PC and had a blast. Trying to resist not playing until release but that’s a tall order. Loving it and preaching it. Anyways, based on my experience, I only really have one piece of feedback and it’s about

Parrying
Parrying in this game just didn’t click for me. I found it extremely difficult, and after 20+ hours, I eventually gave up on trying to use it. It simply didn’t feel “good”. While I’m not a YouTuber, I do consider myself a seasoned player, so the fact that I could barely make use of it at all may suggest a broader issue. Please consider slightly increasing the timing window by 0.2* seconds or perhaps introducing it as an enchantment or a special ability for light shields.

I say that because I watched a couple videos and noticed some guys out there can absolutely parry everything 100%, but idk maybe look into it. If it’s only me, I’m ready to take the L and just do a dodge build.

we had quite a few discussions about parrying on here already, if u are interested to share your thoughts:

The Parry window is very short and relies on hitting it right as contact is about to be made.

What more is there to say…? More Wicked is good Wicked.
No one ever had any doubts on the quality of the product, now getting more of it and seeing refined a year after it’s initial EA launch is exciting. The forced wipe will be the perfect excuse to celebrate the 1 Year anniversary and dive right back in.

Back to square 1
I’m excited to see the additional areas added to existing zones as those along the new weapon types and modified mechanics are what will make replaying these initial 15 hours much less of a burden for those who’ve gone through this journey multiple times already.

Diamond in the Rough
The new gems and enchantments seems fine, “Masterwork items” will have to prove themselves over the typical high risk high rewards Cursed items have been offering us thus far. That’s something we’ll only be able to judge once we’ve played with it for a while.

Warrick
Warrick Warrick Warrick Warrick, Warrick Warrick. In all seriousness, it is a bit worrying to see another Warrick with a Boss Health bar, seeing how we already have 3 Warrick variants in game, I fail to see how Blue Warrick will have me interested. Let’s hope those plagued version have extra moves/mechanics to keep older boss fresh. And if not, well we’re a few Warricks Away from unleashing the Inifinity Warrick Gauntlet.

Coopium
Now all that we’ll need is that multiplayer… Social medias have made that loud and clear already, people are getting desperate for it and I understand, I myself have 3 friends waiting on this feature before jumping in. The Multiplayer update will be by far the biggest sale push for the product since the initial EA launch and as we all know… Good products sell. Let’s just cross our fingers and pray this come at the latest, early summer.

Thanks for the links @Chemile0n. I’ll sure check them out. @Steve_Jewer I understand how parry works. It just seems that right now it sits in a odd spot where try-hards can steamroll enemies with it while casual players can barely utilize it. At least that’s the sentiment I got after bringing this up on Discord. I understand this kind of systems are likely very integrated and hard to revisit, but just putting it out there. There has to be a middle ground.

I bought this game as soon as it became available last year, played hundreds of hours. I probably was in the top 10 amounts at some point. I cant wait to play thousands more. If I could only play one game for the rest of my life it would be this one.

I am glad your legal battle is over.

Congrats to Moon studios for getting the rights for the game and damn you have been realy busy we all see that the breatch looks amazing realy. cant wait to play the new update.

What nonsense! Then it just needs to be programmed better or fixed. There are players who have invested a lot of time and they won’t like the wipe :man_shrugging:

let me paint some fictional scenarios here: u have a staff with enchantments that give u focus on hit, so u slotted multi hit runes in, in order to craft a built that gives u unlimited focus. your whole gear is enchanted to fit that. now the whole enchantment mechanic gets reworked and those enchantments do not work anymore.

so what to do?

  1. let people keep their stuff, but its useless now. will people like that their time they spent for that built is wasted, when they are still able to keep these now useless items in their chests?
  2. wipe everything (same outcome pretty much as 1.) useless items are now gone
  3. “program it better” so items just get random enchants and runes that replace the now removed ones. will people like that?
  4. let people keep their stuff in old realms, so they can use it when they want to, just don’t let them move it to new content as it is broken there anyways

second scenario: imagine new quests and story content is added. maybe some quests players already completed are now different or have different objectives in order to facilitate the new added content. or even newly needed quest items were not aquired to progress that questline… what are u gonna do?

  1. let people be confused because the whole thing is different now?
  2. let them try to continue playing without that item they needed?
  3. or just drop the item randomly in their chests leaving them with “huh? what is that for”?

or just ignore that all, spent another 6 months to “just fix things” and let people go riot because there is no updates?

in EA things can and will change drastically. multiple games have shown that, BG3, DayZ u name it. and they all at least at launch of 1.0 got some sort of wipe. its often just not feasible the other way.

and no matter what u do and how u handle it, there will always be people that do not like your decision.
