Right now parrying is pretty hard and the danger is very high.
Compared to Valheim for example. If you miss a parry there, you still have the regular block, half of the time. Here you have to decide beforehand if you want to block or parry. And if you miss the parry you eat ****.
I think the reward is a little bit too low for it. Yes the foe staggers and all, but you can achieve similar results with less danger.
Could we get runes that are activated for free after a successful parry.
Or… an enchantment on the weapon that changes the existing runes on that weapon like this.
So e.g. you parry and this casts an AoE explosion that also damages neighbouring enemies.
Or it summons one or two temporary clones of the character that attack.
Or it casts a buff that doubles the next parry window.
… countless possibilities.
