Suggestion: Smithy craft RNG weapons in Marin city - Encourage exploring and farming

The issue here is drop rate of weapons in the game and useful weapons at that.

We dont have a problem with armor because we are able to craft armor for different playstyles, yes min/max and looks we still need rng drops but this does not really affect how we interact with environment on a big scale.

This is not true for weapons though, most weapons have their own animation and attack patterns that will have a direct impact on how we prepare and approach each fight, also a preffered attack pattern based on our playstyle, having a huge impact on how we experience the game.

Given the vast amount of weapon types it is extrimely hard to come by a useful weapon, for example, using multiple worlds I have already 3 legendaries before I even saw 1 scythe in the game, and only saw 1 type of rapier, how is this possible?

I don’t have a good idea on how to tweak drop rates as I don’t know the systems inside out but the idea is to figure out a way to increase drop rates of weapons seeing how impactful they are for player experience.

This can be by big chests / big enemy npcs that drop item guarantee that if it drops an equipment piece, at least 1 being a weapon.

The most useful option I can think is by adding a functionality to Marin city SMITHY.

Scenario: I have build my mage or dex character but I keep having strength and faith weapon drops for the last 20h of gameplay, this feels annoying, instead I go to Marin smithy, pay a fixed price and give him materials for a random weapon into a category of my choosing.

Lets say I want to explore new dex weapons, so I go to Marin smithy and ask him to forge me a random dex weapon, pay a price, farm up the materials and then he will make the random weapon for me, this will also make gathering and exploring more fun in opinion and encourage this activities.

If you are worried about people abusing him just cap it to limited amount of forges per day
