Ginger Prime Interview Feedback on the Crafting question

Hey Thomas, I just finished watching your interview with Ginger Prime. You asked him about crafting, and I have a suggestion. I’m a big fan of crafting in games, and I think it would be awesome if you could let me tear down weapons and then create a crafting recipe for them. I’d love to learn specialities like blades or elements, so I could get crafting bonuses on the weapons or add additional gem slots. If I want to focus on crafting, I could add layers to the items I create from a noob who finds a recipe and ends up creating the same item that my crafting character would. Just a thought! I’m really enjoying the game, keep up the great work!

Suggestion: Deconstruct, Dismantle & Disenchant Gear

Deconstruct The option to turn weapons and armors into recipes A player would visit the relevant vendor to deconstruct the associated weapons or armor. i.e. metal items would be deconstructed at the blacksmith. This would make specific weapons and armor more readily available. Especially relevant if enchanting stays randomized. Becomes less meaningful the more enchanting becomes customizable and redo-able.
