Please reduce higher end crafting times. 30 minutes for one silver ore is getting ridiculous. I realize that you want things to have weight and importance but there’s a line between weight and wasting our time. I enjoy playing but I can’t just pop into a dungeon, have some fun, then come back to my finished silver ore. Five hours to smelt up ONE UPGRADE for a weapon?
As someone who played an embarrassing amount of Everquest/P99/Project Quarm I understand weight and intention in a game. I could at least grind sklls and chat or do crafting in my down time while waiting on stuff to spawn. I can’t do either of those this game. I get materials at a rate that is unsustainable for the forges. Having ore that can’t be processed is a waste and only leaves me feeling dissatisfied. How long will we have to wait for gold upgrades or metals beyond that? Is there a cap? The game is fun but too much time is spent waiting on materials to process. I just don’t understand why you have a system built in that pushes us to not play the game.
That’s not immersion, that’s not fun, that’s not weight. It’s waiting. Stop time gating content, please. Let us buy ingots for wild prices of give us a way to speed up smelting.
I agree with the time to smelt, I ended up making 3 smelters in my home just to keep up with smelting ores. Coming back from a run could mean 25 random ores and over half an hour to an hour wait…
Two silver nodes is not enough I spent at least 6 hours yesterday gathering the silver from the Iona’s cave, Nameless pass, Crucible and Grinnich. I gathered around 25 silver, to upgrade an armour and only realize the plagued affix is debilitating and unusable… Wasted a whole day in relation to upgrades, honestly was the second time I felt like I was done with the game this weekend due to silver.
Recommendations;
. Reduction time in smelting
. Increased drop rate of silver in chests
. Make ore nodes random not just one location
. Increase silver nodes around world/all maps
I would definitely agree with that. I have no issue gathering the materials. It’s when I have ore backed up for processing and I can only set so many to smelt before I go to bed for the night.
So many games lean on “make more smelters” but it feels so weird to me to have a wooden house with 8 industrial smelters running through the night. It’s ugly and awkward especially when we have magic in the world and could come up with neat lore/quest based ways to improve the process. I didn’t realize we could put multiple in our homes so I guess I’ll get on that. Thanks for the tip!
spawn more silver mines on the map so you still get to have silver ingots but will still need to go out and get em.
give a daily/weekly quota of them in the general shop or at the blacksmith. Maybe put 20 in the shop but make them more expensive, e.g. maybe each one costs 10 silver coins.
30min or half of that 15 minutes for a single piece of ore is ridiculous. No doubt about it.
Generally speaking the timers are not great. And the developers are aware. Having multiple smelters or crafting stations in your house is not intended. Atleast that was the statement made on twitter.
I feel that the designers didn’t think clearly enough about House Decoration.
Due to the limitations of furnaces and cabinets, houses were basically converted into workshops and warehouses. But they wanted us to decorate our little nest which is clearly a contradiction.
The best result is that only one or two furnaces or chests are needed in the house.
To achieve that, furnaces and chests need to be free of capacity constraints.
Better functional furniture should not provide more capacity, but should make functional enhancements.
For example, each kind of ore in furnaces can be stacked in one grid, so all kinds of ore can be refined in a single furnace . For ordinary furnaces, the capacity is large enough, but the speed is medium, the blast furnace has the chance to double the product but the speed is slow, the slag furnace is the fastest, but there is probability of extinguishing needs to be re-ignited, the ultimate furnace is fast, there is a higher probability of doubling the product, and it is possible to product other substances Additionally etc.
As another example, all chests have a large capacity, but ordinary chests do not have classification labels, gorgeous chests have classification labels but cannot be remotely accessed, exquisite chests can be remotely accessed but there is no classification label, and the ultimate chests has all features and provide search function etc.
