Facets, What's the Deal?

Is there a definitive guide to Aspects and their effects?

What do you mean by aspects?

Sorry if I got the name wrong. I mean terms like, festering, reliable, keen, clumsy, stable etc. Obviously I’ve done research but for instance, one source said that festering made you prone to plague while another said it improved your ability to inflict plague. Important difference. Also, they use similar terms like keen and sharp so an official guide would be helpful or input from the fantastic player base here who’ve experimented.

The database and build planner generally is a good source, as it based on datamined info. The community Wiki is decent too.

If you have further questions the best places to ask are here or on the official discord.

if you keep up with Konrad he’s bound to find out the exact numbers sooner or later (or already has)

but maths aside, i’ve never heard of any particular interactions (like plagued efficiency) regarding any of the facets. afaik they are straightforward

Dammitt’s database has correct facet modifiers for 28175, but his build planner still calculates damage in the 26973 way. The table linked by sBAM is correct.

(Edit: Dammitt corrected his calculations on 2026-04-08.)

From 28175, the damage modification from facets is now applied to (upgraded) base damage only, not the total after modification for attributes; or in other words, bonus damage from facets and attributes stacks additively, not multiplicatively.

Consider a heavy Pig Sticker at upgrade level 9 wielded with 48 dexterity. That’s 10 damage before upgrades, +2 per upgrade level above 1, a bonus of 20% from the facet and 187% from dexterity.

Damage is (1+0.2+1.87)×(10+8×2)=80, but the build planner still predicts (1+0.2)×(1+1.87)×26≈89.5, which would’ve been the correct formula before Patch 1. Real damage may differ by a point or two due to rounding.
