Expected Behavior: When you loot or craft a Blood Rusted Sword, there is a chance to receive a facet on the item.
Encountered Behavior: I have not, in my entire experience in beta crafting and looting the BRS, or just now making four more after the update, had a BRS with a facet.
I don’t have enough data to say I’m not just terribly unlucky. I don’t have recordings of every one I’ve ever made or looted, but I have a recording from today of the four I just made. I’ll link it here:
I tried crafting Gnarled Staff to get a specific facet. In 10 crafts not one of them had any facets.
It seems that the first/lowest tier of weapons do not get facets.
I’m post-post end game and just playing for fashion now. I’ve crafted 32 sets of plate body armor (Gilded Spearman) and none of them have dropped with the “Agile” facet. Are certain facets locked to certain armor categories or am I just unlucky?
I’m fine with the answer being ‘unlucky’ but I don’t want to waste resources hoping for Agile to drop if it can’t happen on a certain type of armor… for example: leather armors can only get certain facets, plate armor can only get certain facets, etc.
Is there a table or breakdown somewhere that covers facet rng?
One random thought I had was if it would be possible to implement like a Mercy system for the gacha of Facet crafting… I don’t know exactly how it would work… but if Facets were grouped into categories we could target? it’d still be random, just slightly more fair? or any other idea to counter the effect of having to make 40-60 pieces of a single piece of armor if your luck is off.
To counter myself, I do realize I’m trying to do a very specific thing and I understand why trying to over-optimize a build should feel labor intensive and difficult. If that’s the dev rationale, I’m good with that, as well.
I ended up looting a Gilded Spearman chest that had Agile so it does seem possible. But that means I stopped trying to achieve it via crafting, so I can’t confirm if its just bad luck or something else.
All in all, I crafted 34 chests and Agile didn’t drop. But when I crafted Guilded Spearman helmet and hands, Agile hit the first attempt.
as the name says, no facet on my favorite knife sadly.
Also want to ask, is there bleed infusion facet? If no then why? U can play with any other element while applying strong gems in your weapons, but not with the bleed?
There is no blood infusion facet, as to why I can’t say. My guess is because at the moment they simply converted the enchantments to facets as it is a new system and it may come with a later update. We will have to wait and see for it, I also agree it should be possible as a facet to give that option
Hello wasn’t sure if anyone else ran into this, I have been crafting in game for a good bit since the update and can’t seem to get a wand weapon to craft with any of the four element facets at all, is this a bug or am I missing additional tool to help make it happen? I can get every other facet but the elemental ones to craft. Would love some help or if it need to be reported as a bug I can do so. Just wanted to see if anyone else was having the same issue.
I’ve been trying to get a Blood-Rusted Sword with a specific Facet on it. They stopped dropping naturally very early in the game, haven’t seen one drop in tens of hours (I’m lvl 29.) Deciding to try to craft one instead, I have now crafted 20+ BRS at endgame level, not one of them even had ANY facet at all. In my opinion, this is a problem since it makes crafting gear mostly pointless (pointless beacuse the reason for gear-crafting seems to be to get the desired item-base+facet.) It also makes it near-impossible to get certain weapons (move-sets) with the desired facet.
I suspect it’s because Blood-Rusted Sword is considered an early-game item, and therefore has a very low chance of having a facet - which is a problem when that move-set is the one that I want.
I don’t know if this is how the balancing is intended to work, but just in case it isn’t, I wanted to bring it to Moon’s attention.
