Easier difficulty settings/assists

Sure, except this game makes that impossible by ultimately leaving you without any way to heal or without weapons. Resulting in literally being stuck and not being able to try a fight again.

Boom just prove my point. Add a difficulty option

I get that you personally don’t look to benefit from the addition, but there are players here who very much could. And, I get that it probably feels like it might cheapen your experience, to know they exist, but it could be the decider between multiple hundreds of purchases for this game, for the players to know that the developers don’t want to leave them behind just because they can’t make it on the default difficulty. It would be a good idea for not only the players, but the devs, too.
Besides, It’d be optional. You could choose not to engage with the slider at all, or hell, you could crank it up, if you think the game is too easy.

The free trainer only works the keyboard shortcuts. The game is much more fun with this

Same boat, really want to enjoy the game, and do, to an extent, really enjoy what I’ve played, but think that the design choice of, “even the most common mobs can kill you in 6 hits, yet take 12 to kill” is not wise or good, would prefer it to be 6-6 or at least 6-8 or something a bit more reasonable.
The only way to take enemies on is to bait them into attacking, roll away, sprint at, double attack, roll away, rinse and repeat- and that’s just… not fun.

And don’t get me started on durabillty. I think they need to fix that a little

I think difficulty settings would be fine as long as harder difficulty settings have a benefit (i.e. more xp, better loot drops, etc.).

They fixs the durabilltiy and now all they have to add is a difficulty option and i will be happy.

Personally I enjoy the challenge and this game would get boring really quickly if it weren’t challenging. However I understand that other players want easier gameplay, be it that they are not good at such games or are not willing to invest so much time into them.
I can’t imagine this being resolved with a single difficulty level without one type of player negatively impacting the other type by imposing his own preferences onto them.

Some suggestions for easier difficulty mode:
-taking less damage from enemies
-easier parrying

The hard difficulty could get some additional hard mechanics like the multi-parrying mechanic from Sekiro were an enemy attacks with a flurry of attacks and you have to parry every single one of them with the right timing.

My problem is exactly this. One could argue its selfish, and one could argue the game is not made for you. One could also say they would loose sales by making the game easier.

I do think the problem here is the healing mechanic punishing you for even trying to learn the game by sending you into a loose loose loose situation, but not the difficulty of the fights.

I’m sorry that i don’t share the opinion about difficulty sliders, but then again its not up to me. I think it gives you an easy way out, when the challenge is a huge part of the gameplay.

You can solve this really easily by making another realm and grinding some mobs and stacking up on healing. The blacksmith gives u infite and free repairs so i dont see the problem here. I’m lvl 8 and have killed the boss 8 times to get the sword drop.

You can even create a realm dedicated to free repairs for the rest of the game by placing your character next to the blacksmith. Takes like 2 minuttes to setup, and 20 seconds to swap between them.

Just started and I love the game

As an older gamer I want to play through and enjoy the first boss wiped me over 30 times and having to play with a heavy weapon is not my thing

After reaching Sacrament I looked forward to questing more, though the level of mob difficulty versus my own inadequacies had me give up what potentially was an amazing game

In essence I want an easy mode or story mode…My gaming abilities are just below whats required for the current settings to further my experience in game…

Maybe adding difficulty world tiers which are easier/harder with worse/better rewards could be an option?

maybe someone will be able to mod it in

You just thinking about yourself and how good you are then other people

Then it sounds like this game genre was never meant for you. It’s a souls like which means the difficulty is a part of the game. It’s about learning, getting better and mastering the mechs. Elden Ring doesn’t have a difficulty option and nobody ever complained because the concept of the game is get good or get lost.

I agree 100% with you Thomas. Played thousands of hours D2 and other ARPGS´s, but never Soulslike ones. I had rough first hours, but because i had to deal with it i doubled down my effort and now with better understanding and gear i rock the world already. And that feeling is a truly unique and hard to generate! So keep the difficulty and uniqueness up, it´s already a great game with even more potential!
