Dodge button behavior becomes inconsistent

Feedback / Issue Report

Since the release of EARLY ACCESS PATCH NOTES – TOGETHER HOTFIX 4, there is a serious and frustrating issue when playing with a PlayStation 4 controller.

During combat, the dodge button behavior becomes inconsistent. In critical moments where the player clearly inputs a dodge, the game randomly triggers an attack instead, as if the dodge and attack inputs were being swapped or overridden. This happens unpredictably and mostly during high-pressure combat situations.

This issue:

  • Occurs only during combat

  • Feels random and unreliable

  • Frequently happens when trying to dodge at critical moments

  • Severely impacts gameplay, survivability, and player control

Before this patch, the controls behaved correctly and consistently. After Hotfix 4, the loss of reliable input response makes combat feel unfair and unresponsive, especially for players relying on precise timing with a PS4 controller.

Please review:

  • Input priority between dodge and attack

  • Controller button mapping logic during combat

  • Possible input buffering or override introduced in Hotfix 4

This issue significantly affects the overall gameplay experience and should be addressed as soon as possible.

Hey Ysgratos,

That is very unfortunate. Would you have the ability to clip this?

I will also ask if you have gone over your settings, and made sure no functions are bound to the same key?

Hotfix 4 has set some other defaults as far I’m aware (I don’t have a controller sadly, I will ask someone to consult on this).

Could you possibly also try with another controller, to rule out if it is this model in particular?

Appreciate it!

Silas
