the crucible, as of now, is not how it is planned to be. there will be a larger update coming on the 25th. not sure what will be in the update, but in previous posts it was mentioned, that the crucible will get a rogue like type of systems with picking up perks on the way and probably more changes.

Here’s a quick post talking about how the Crucible could be made better in the future based on how it currently plays and what we know the devs want it to be.
Currently, the Crucible has 7rooms + the boss room and loot room. You always have to clear those 7rooms in order to get back to the boss, which is not only annoying at first when you want to learn the fight, but since there is only 7rooms, and you have to clear them all once, it gets old real quick. So here’s what I propose …
So I’ve been grinding at crucible lately, and only recently discovered that there’s actually a boss at the end of it. I didn’t know this before because of how many freaking floors you have to go through to actually reach it - I haven’t gotten an actual count, but its definitely at least 7 or 8, which is too damn many.
Why is it too many? Because the boss is freaking hard.
I’m totally fine with the game having hard bosses, and I’m willing to accept a boss you can only reach after fighting you…
I just beat the crucible and it was not fun to beat the last boss because it takes too long to get back to it. It takes at least 10 minutes and I was doing the run pretty optimized. If those 10 minutes were engaging I would not have a problem with it. But its the same map same enemies over and over again and at some point I figured out ways to trivialize them because it was just so boring I wanted to make it as quick as possible. Because it takes too long to get back I basically drank big focus …
Sadly I think I’ve gone from loving this game (I’ve dumped 54 hours into essentially a chapter) into being extremely frustrated with the game. Don’t get me wrong, the game is still amazing and I’m excited for its future, but the crucible is killing me.
I’m running an INT build and I’ve run the crucible 50+ times and I’ve yet to beat it. Of course part of it is me getting good, but at the same time, the crucible needs to be tweaked.

Right now when you die inside the crucible it takes you back to the surface and you have to make another offering to start over. If you die in the boss fight which is very likely to happen, you’ll have to get through all 8 levels again. It’s not funny going through everything over and over again.
I know it’s a skill issue but the penalty is just too high in my opinion. I would like to see a respawn location saved after you beat each level or just even one before the boss fight. You can have pla…

once we reach boss fight of cerim crucible, the game should allow us to fight the boss again every time we die rather than having to do all the arenas again. that is super annoying. we should only do the arenas once and once reached boss arena, the game should stick at boss fight arena every time we die and use ember. I hope that developers add that capability. for me, arenas are easy now but I keep dying at boss fight. it’s time consuming to redo all the arenas again in order to reach the boss.…
