Camera Perspective and Clipping Post Breach

Example video for reference. “Flat camera”

By far the feature I least appreciate are the camera changes post breach. It functions significantly differently than on release and is not an improvement imo.

We lose our depth perception, ability to visualize the apex of hitboxes for parry & block, and feel forced to reposition to the bottom of our screen constantly.

Collectively these changes feel like a major disruption to the flow of combat. The bottom of my screen can be filled with lingering AoE skills tossed out by enemies and takes away from the neutral positioning between each enemy because the need to see them and my character takes precedent.

The “forced” repositioning feels like a step backwards for the games combat.

One of my favorite elements of Wicked on release was that as similar as the weapon skills & attacks were to souls like combat we did not have to experience the awkward kiting because we could fight in place. Universal access to parry, and poise damage wasn’t restricted to only massive two handed weapons.

Anyways, strongly dislike it and it doesn’t seem to be a large point of contention for the player base. What am I missing?

As someone who only really started playing after the breach update, I can’t say I felt like this was ever an issue for me.

Would you happen to have some pre-breach footage that shows off what you mean?

Only footage I have saved and uploaded is of EK. But the point is the same. Prior to breach the camera was much closer to a traditional isometric style view.

Now the camera is further south, gets flat to the ground and zooms in like an action shot.

Edit:
Ah wait i found some clips in my edited output folder already. (I had deleted all my old raw footage)
