Completely random rewards undermine the excellent map design, especially when players explore it for the first time.
If so much effort has gone into designing the map, it feels unreasonable for players to find only ordinary items when they reach the depths of a maze.
I suggest that when certain treasure chests are opened for the first time, they should be guaranteed to contain equipment. This would provide players with stronger positive feedback as they progress through the main story and explore the map, while the fully random reward system could still remain in place afterward.
