Why Regular Steam Updates Matter for Fans and Potential Buyers

I’m a big fan of the game and regularly look for news, but finding updates is not always easy. News about the game often requires sifting through Discord messages. Fortunately, YouTubers like Ginger Prime sometimes create follow-up videos that include developer comments, but even then, it’s a bit of a challenge.

I frequently check the Steam forum, where many users are debating whether the developers have abandoned the game. There’s a lot of confusion surrounding the Private Division thing, and updates on Steam are sometimes 4–5 months apart.

Many potential buyers are interested in the game but hesitate because they believe it’s an early-access title that’s been abandoned. I think regular updates on Steam—perhaps every 1–2 months—could make a big difference. The updates don’t need to be extensive; even a screenshot and a brief description of what you’re working on would go a long way toward keeping the community engaged and informed.

Agreed, but its never gonna be the same eventhough they start to update on steam now. potential customers already lose their interest in buying the game, and it is half dead now.

I agree with OP that the communication on steam should be better, hell its non existing now, but the game aint dead, far from it. People keep repeating this like they want the game to fail, like a mantra, its all conjecture, this aint no Day Before.

Yeah the game is far from dead, but people believe that because they have not heard any news for a while. You have to watch Ginger Prime or read a lot of Discord to get news. There is a lot coming, a new Job System, more map, maybe coop, but people don’t know about it
