Why is it so We can’t regenerate health using Whispers/whisp? BCS enemies don’t respawn?
I believe this is the best thing you guys can do, without imposing any restrictions. You can make Whisp regenerate health and you can’t spam it. Additionally, you can make Whisp have a timer for 10-20 seconds once you are engaged with an enemy…
Now, if Whispers, would heal the player it would partially override the need for food and cooking. Players would not waste food on healing during trash fights since enemies don’t respawn so dying is a free reset. This makes healing items next to useless outside of boss fights.
Useless? thats such a massive exageration, not wasting time because you dont repeatedly die over and over is the benefit.
If a game is going to have no punishment for dying, then the game may as well own up to it
I don’t think it is a ‘massive’ exaggeration but a slight exaggeration so I’ve edited my initial response.
And, I don’t think the several seconds running back and forth for a heal is ‘wasting time’. Especially when considering that healing items are not infinite whilst Cerim Whisper heals would be infinite. But, I can see people having different opinions on this.
Yes useless, unless you go crucible, food is already plenty, you can even have healing runes, one does mass heal for coop i think and the other not only heals but buffs your max health.
Whispers healing would become points of return, so when you are clearing an area you would fight and return to heal, and so on until everything is dead, why would you use food then?
Same thing with estus flasks that people were asking for, the devs may add more healing options, maybe even change food to heal overtime i dont know, but whispers healing its easy game imo.
Exactly. Even then, Whisper healing would only be useful for the early game when you don’t have many healing options. However, if Whispers provided healing, the gameplay loop would become very boring: kill enemies, get low on health, run back to Whisper to heal, and repeat. This would negate the need for healing items. As of now, we have plenty of healing options including enchantments, food, and spells.
