We just had the Crucible update and it got me thinking. What would we as Forum Members would want to see in the next Content Updates.
So, I would ask that everyone posts three things that you want the most in the upcoming updates.
Here are mine:
Expanded Crafting System → more interactivity, add recipes for all weapons and armor. Allow us to customize the crafting process influencing some stats. As a result crafting should also be more costly as we have more control over crafting. And, also my suggestions here: Suggestion: Deconstruct, Dismantle & Disenchant Gear
Expanded Enchanting System → more customization and control over enchanting - not full control. There is too much RNG with enchanting and finding white gear that it really turns me away from trying new builds. It can take dozens of hours just to try something. I would prefer something similar to the Crucible with the boons. Have us sacrifice materials to enchant and the materials determine what ‘‘type’’ of affixes get added to the draw pool. Then present the player with 3-5 random affixes from that pool to choose from and repeat this several times. So a mix between randomization and customization.
Meta Update to Sacrament → this was mentioned in the recent interview where Cohh interviewed Gennadiy. If the choice is between Multiplayer, Update to Sacrament and More Replayability to the Overworld - Sacrament gets my vote. Crafting and Enchanting take place in Sacrament, so this falls in line with my 2 previous suggestions. Would love to see more activities in Sacrament as well as the farming update.
I agree with all the points. Currently, trying out new weapons takes too much time. The game already involves a lot of waiting. It feels like the developers intended the game’s rhythm to be one where you log in once every day or two, complete dailies, gather resources, possibly craft something, enchant it (which will likely result in poor affixes), and then repeat the process. In the final game, this will probably work differently, and there will be plenty of activities. But right now, the lack of reliable sources of third-tier resources is too noticeable
Absolutely agree the crafting and enchanting need some work. When my primary way of trying to get a good weapon is to buy 5 copies at a time and enchant them, and I still usually don’t get a useful weapon, there’s a real problem.
I do really like the idea of dismantling items to get the ability to craft them, I think it’s a very good suggestion. Maybe rework the crafting so most of the items don’t require materials so rare that only drop when the stars align while they’re at it.
And I’d really like to see some form of the talent trees that have been talked about as a possibility, or generally some updates that make different characters play notably differently. Right now every build other than an Intelligence staff user feels very similar to me.
That said, ‘more maps and content to explore’ is basically number 1, 2 and 3 on my personal list, and that’s the thing I want to see more than basically anything else.
Oh i forgot another one: I oftentimes feel left in the dark, a bit better communication would be great, knowing what next is being worked on, some show of progress, agile sprint-like would be great every week or two just a small update on what has been worked on, some sweet screenshots etc. i realyl hate complete radio silence. just give us some life signs, as if we’re your concerned mommy that would be great
Amusingly Thomas kept us informed a lot in the beginning but he was saying a little too much. On the bright side, Moon Studios is working on a revised roadmap for us to have.
Hey, on that subject. Its not “Often” by any means. But Thomas and Gennadiy sometimes drop on the Discord channel to chat and throw ideas around. Occasionally they would reveal some concept art.
