Just bought the game on steam. Thanks for the discount. I really enjoyed the prologue. Now on the beach level there’s a constant white flight lights, seperate from the lightning effects. It’s like a lot of fireflies flashing in my face. I’ve tried clearing shader caches and different game graphics settings. Nothing changes. Here’s a screen shot however it’s worse than this. They’re flashing quickly across entire screen. I’m on a AMD 6900 XT. How do I fix?
Those lights are probably supposed to be loot drops.
- Does restarting the game change anything?
- This might be caused by a faulty driver. Can you update your drivers or rollback to an older one?
Thanks for the response. Restarting doesn’t change it. My drivers are updated but I can try rolling back AMD driver. How far back to you suggest? What do you mean by loot drops? I can try doing a video if it helps. They’re flashing randomly everywhere. A screen only captures a few. My entire screen is being obscured by them though.
What a strange happening, thanks for reporting it here greymanic.
Could you submit some files so it can be investigated?
See here the instructions for that: How to Properly Report Bugs!
Let me know if you have additional questions.

Small update. I rolled back drivers to version 26.3.1 March 3 of this year. The problem persists. Still looks like the video. Could you tell anything from my files?
Except surface level knowledge I’m not capable of deducting any causation between bugs and system information, you will have to pardon me for that
.
I do know you seem the be the first person to report this, I have done a quick forum query so far but not found anything resembling your problem.
Usually that means it is something specifically about the reporters system.
I found this though: https://superuser.com/questions/1108244/white-dots-in-game
There is also the general demand of an early-access game on performance, the tax on a pc’s system differentiates per area much more then the final product will be. Hopefully these will all be ironed out with 1.0.
A lot of words to say, I don’t rightly know what could be causing these strange spots for you, I can only asure you it will be looked into.
Good of you to stay pro-active as well with rolling back your driver, please let us know here if you find something that improved your situation!
I will escalate this into the proper channels.

I’ve seen the problem mentioned in one other place but it does seem rare. No Rest for the Wicked :: Steam Community
Hard to believe it’s my system. I’ve gamed on it for many years although the card is new. I’ve had it for a few months and played many hours in a few other games with no issues but maybe it has a problem with specific games?
I appreciate you taking a look for me. I don’t want to wait too long for a resolution. I only have about 12 more days before I can get a refund from Steam and I fear the game is unplayable like this. If it persists on the first level there’s a good chance it’ll be later in the game as well. I did really enjoy the prologue and the game looks promising. Hopefully I’ll hear back from someone soon. Thank you.
One thing I noticed yesterday…If I change upscaling from AMD FSR to TAA + CAS, the flashing effects still appear but they’re noticeably smaller. They still blink all over the screen but individually are smaller points of white light.
I’ve decided to keep the game and try to work through this issue, or hope for a patch, to eventually play through.
Not sure that the issue you linked is the same, but good to link it! I agree it’s a strange thing happening, you think it’s AMD + the game that is making it do this?
I will escalate this nonetheless, hopefully Moon can figure this out.

Yes it’s the same issue. The lights are there, same as before, just smaller.
