Was creating a new character and couldnt help to notice that something wasnt looking they way I’m used to. To confirm I wasnt going crazy i went to youtube to check and in this patch he female body has clearly been altered, specifically the chest area but it says nothing about it in the patch notes? Not a gooner thing, just find it strange to make such a change and not documenting it? Why the secrecy lol
I play a male character so don’t know about this, but did they make it more or less prominent?
I’m hoping the latter since I don’t want to be playing a gooner game.
Yes less prominent breast size but the lighting also looks way worse imo. I also think the thighs are thinner and the character is posing in in a totally different stance, which might be true for the male model as well.
I’m just curious as to why they wouldnt post it in the patch notes
Probably because describing someone’s physical proportions can be considered objectification and it isn’t affecting gameplay.
They also didn’t mention many moveset changes to weapons like Rapiers and Wakizashis, which I think are a lot more impactful, so the patch notes were not complete to begin with.
Clearly moveset changes should also been mentioned. That’s sort of the basis of my argument, what else isnt in there?
Far from everything in the patch notes is directly gameplay related though? Objectification lol, thats a matter of phrasing and you could with very neutral language document a character model change. It’s the secrecy that bothers me and if a studio starts making changes to appease the crowd that is concerned with made up issues like objectification in games, then that’s a clear indicator of shit going downhill. I really hope they wont start making actual gameplay changes like removing friendly fire because babies are crying on steam
Just to put things into perspective. You opened an account in this forum only to complain about a female character being less caked up?
Also, objectification is definitely an issue in games, but there wasn’t anyone complaining. From what I can tell, if anything, some posts wanted more of it. So this is likely a personal decision from the devs and they have every right to do it.
JRPGs and other games like Stellar Blade exist for you to play if that’s what what piques your interest in games.
To put things further into perspective, I started playing the game a week ago or so. I also put my first ever steam written steam review two days ago how the game exceeded all my expectations so no, I didnt just make this account to complain about the female character being ‘less caked’.
Clearly you’re reading into things that I’m not expressing for whatever reason. You seem more invested in JRPGs than me, personally I find that artstyle very unappealing and I could even extend my view to them actually being objectfying, more so because the women run around in high heels than anatomy. That wasnt my point, which was non issues being framed as objectification.
’Every right to do it’ dude wtf are you on, yes of course the devs can model their game however they want, who even argues against that? But then why wouldnt you docuiment the change in the patch notes.
Models aside, the game just plays way worse now than before the update, performance and systemwise, but you go ahead with the bootlicking, i’ve lost interest in arguing with a dunning kruger-maxxer
I’ve returned after a year or so and during character creation I noticed that smth is weird with f.body so I compared with old version and yeah, her pose was better as well as proportions.
Male is like reverse triangle - exaggerated upper body and Female got bigger lower body, as nature intended but exaggerated because of art style and imo it looked much better and pose was more feminine.
Sure, we won’t probably notice such difference when clad in armor but I do hope Devs reconsider such a small detail.
