I just wanted to make a quick post to talk about my problems with how Dailies currently work in NRftW and how they simply fail at doing what they’re designed to do : Daily engagement.
Toss a coin to your Cerim
Currently, Dailies will reward you with about 1 to 5 silver depending on the task, some of those your character cannot complete, such as “Defeat X enemies with a bow” if you do not have a dex build. Thankfully there is very little of those. But overall, the Silver reward is too little for the amount of time they require to complete. In my honest opinion, their income reward should be tripled, making them 5 to 15 Silver each.
The rewards truly are their biggest issue, as if they do not respect my time, well… I am simply not willing to do them, if I am not willing to do dailies, I have no reason to login daily.
Fun?
I think adding more interesting tasks to the dailies would also be greatly beneficial. They are quite low in variety as of right now and I do get their intent, to make you travel the world, by doing so, the devs hope you’ll interact with the other systems currently in the game, the Alive system and the gathering. “Well, I’m passing here for my daily, so I may as well gather this node, I may as well kill these enemies, etc”. But they simply aren’t worth the time involvement, and if you do not respect my time, I will not play the game.
Weekly bounties are so much fun though, new enemies, rare elites, rare gear only obtainable by killing these weekly quests… Great! If Dailies could be as interesting, I would gladly play everyday and complete my list of chores.
Daily Tokens
By completing your dailies, you get a Token of some sort that you can use at X NPC to acquire special items. It could be unique food, weapons, rune attacks, special armour sets, furniture for your home… Anything really, anything to justify my very limited time in those precious 24hours.
Aight, I’m done here, those are my current suggestions to make Dailies much more interesting and keep me coming back everyday for 30minutes to an hour.
