Stamina Builds [Suggestion]

Currently, the investment of Stamina is lackluster. The game is designed to either favor Focus builds that can also sustain Health.

I was wondering, how can a Stamina build be viable when the Echo Knight has so much HP?

What if the Player could be incentivized to invest in Stamina with affixes that do more damage after X number of direct hits (without use of Focus) increases the damage output or stagger increase? It reminds me of a combo system. This could be a stacking buff that resets after you take damage and caps at some point. Something logarithmic, not necessarily exponential. This may also riff off of the “crit chance” that has been presented via echoes.

In either case, this is just a bit of feedback. All of my builds are centered around Focus / Runes. Stamina is just a factor to build that up. I know “combo” makes the mind immediately think of an Arcade game which this is not that. I would just like to be more interested in trying something completely different
i.e. My basic attacks are the center of a build and Runes compliment that as opposed to the inverse

Unless I’m just mistaken and the whole concept of this game was to build around Runes? I just thought the devs stated that they want to see many different “soft classes” / without limitations.

I had an idea the other day regarding stamina builds. Currently we have two different types of damage: % all damage and % rune damage. What if there was a cursed ring that drastically boosted % all damage but came with an even larger penalty to rune damage? For example:

+50% damage bonus
+15% stamina
-75% rune damage

That way, basic attacks will hit like a truck, but it’ll be a net loss of 25% damage for rune abilities. This could enable some really cool builds that aren’t so rune focused.
