Effects seem unbalanced

When it comes to items that gain % of health/stamina/focus per hit - or which lose focus/stamina on being hit - the gains/losses seem huge.

With the chipped daggers machine gun rune, I can refill life and focus in a flash and never run out of stamina. I pinned the Echo Knight in the corner and just mashed the rune until he was dead, both phases. Maybe its just that rune that is broken, I dunno. Or maybe it was the rate at which the boss staggered. Still, having infinite life, stamina and focus made it feel almost trivial.

Logically I have to question why a dagger could stagger a large unit like Echo Knight at all.

I think the issue is due to how it scales.

  1. Gain X% focus on hit = favors high attack speed if low %
  2. Gain X% focus of damage dealt = favors high damage but depends on X

What I mean is that there are ways to make it scale favoring different weapon types.

If I have a great sword I’d much rather have option 2 than 1. Whereas it is the exact opposite if I am using daggers.
