Continually staggering and killing Caylen’s Faithful skips the the trigger to summon Caylen’s Forgotten.
That happen too if player kill it quickly, perhaps an unintended feature
I don’t think its a bug. This has always been the case since the summon for Forgotten always could be delayed by cc, sometimes Faithful would even do more then a few attacks before calling.

It’s not a bug, the second boss is summoned only when the first one screams, so if he is stuck he can’t perform the action.
And in any case it’s not a problem because if you have a build that can do that it can also do it on the second boss.
Ring of Determination + Lifesteal is a build in “God Mode” xD, If you think what you saw looks wrong, it’s mostly due to that.
Doing the same thing without the ring is possible, but you have to sacrifice levels to HP to put it on damage and Focus, and you need to buff yourself with food first.
I see, thanks man! it’s the first time I’ve encountered it and thought it was unusual. I’m playing around with mage builds now and man, they can be at opposite ends of the spectrum. weak without the battlecry/determination ring especially in outbreak areas where you have corruptions targeting focus use and such but way too overpowered with either of those rings especially in terms of damage output.

hopefully they change the trigger in terms of when forgotten comes into the picture. it’s kinda anti-climatic when that happens even when you’re using an op build
