On Floor 10 of the Crucible, re-fighting the boss currently means replaying the entire floor, even when you just want to retry the fight or test changes to your build. After a few runs, that repetition can feel more like friction than challenge.
I think it would be great to add a boss re-summon option on Floor 10 that lets players spend Crucible-earned currency to fight the boss again directly, instead of having to redo the whole floor every time. This could be handled through an altar or interactable on Floor 10, with a cost per summon and the ability to choose optional difficulty modifiers before starting the fight.
This would still keep the challenge intact while respecting the player’s time. It encourages experimenting with builds, makes endgame runs feel more focused, and gives Crucible currency another meaningful use instead of just piling up.
For balance, re-summoning the boss could require selecting one or more difficulty modifiers inspired by Pestilence outbreaks. Loot quality could scale with how hard the modifiers are, so higher risk leads to better rewards, while easier modifiers keep loot at normal levels. These Pestilence modifiers could increase boss aggression or damage, change or enhance attack patterns, limit healing, or apply periodic debuffs tied to Pestilence effects. That way, repeat fights still feel earned, fit naturally into the world, and reward players who are willing to push themselves instead of just farming the same encounter.
