Many have already discussed or seen discussions about the Ring of Determination, the Battlecry Ring is the same just weaker, many want these rings to be completely removed or reworked since they are so strong that they completely break the game.
In my opinion the Ring of Determination needs to be weakened/reworked but not removed, but I’m not sure how to do it, and in any case this has been discussed extensively on other topics.
the Battlecry Ring has no role in the game other than being used as an alternative when a player hasn’t found the Ring of Determination yet, so it could also be changed drastically and no one would be affected negatively by this change
The idea was inspired by this video, where the Ring of Determination is essentially used to create a new moovest:

Spend Stamina if there is not enough Focus Available, Rune Effeciness (Damage) is decreased according to the cost
I think two downside required for both ring is to add x2 cost within 3 sec each casts (scaling) and %x base rune damage reduction while using those rings. I don’t think those rings breaks the game they just open a new window to the gameplay but most of the runes are so powerful.
Why change both in the same way when they could do different things?
Not a bad idea, but what happens if i have the focus to cast 2 runes? Will the cost increase or will it only increase when i consume life? Also this path makes it so that you can’t spam the spells, and with this rework I want to have the possibility of creating a moovest with the runes like in the video.
The change you proposed is a rework & a nerf (so we agree)
This is in the context of the opinions that others have given on the rings, and as has been said in those discussions, “breaking the game” can have different meanings depending on the weight you give to the words, for some being absurdly strong counts as breaking the game
You can utilize “at low focus” conditions by using “drain focus in combat” downside while also benefit the option to use some utility runes with focus that you get with parry and auto attacks with RoD (and it could be like you use health as missing focus cost on top of that you said if no focus at all it duplicates only the health cost for each cast to prevent spams) on the other hand you can utilize “at full focus” conditions with Battle Cry and like you said to seperate those 2 rings maybe “you can’t use focus” downside might add to Battlecry only. I’m just thinking loud.
I belive that the game will be harder in further patches or at least at 1.0 when they will add new areas and increase the max level (not official but it must be like this imho) so considering this the game actually will need these rings for the proper endgame, they even might need to buff focus ring in the future as well in this case.
If you think this distinction is enough to have two similar rings with slightly different roles then consider that even though I proposed these changes as a rework, it could also just be a third Unique ring, so we don’t take these interactions away from the game.
If the Ring of Determination is necessary for the future content of the game, it would mean that there has been a gigantic power creep, and it would be a big mistake from the Devs.
Devs have already confirmed that the maximum level remains at 30. (at least these are their intentions for now, then they might change their minds)
Yah I completely agree with you if we are talking about “now” but I always think based on the potential end result of the game. Even the stat system will be replaced soon I don’t think that big and radical changes to the items are a good desicion. Which I think thats the reason why they nerfed RoD “slightly” but considerably fair amount. Anyway again these are my personal ideas about the current state of the items. Determination got already hard nerfed. In the current version determination is for low focus builds and battlecry for high focus/ full focus builds.
It makes perfect sense.
