LIST of Great TOPICS that DEVS should see

Having used this forum a lot, I’ve noticed that the developers are primarily active on bug reports, and don’t comment much on feedback and suggestions.

This, combined with the fact that some very simple QoL needs like: Pestilence zone blur effect too oppressive, which have been reported multiple times, have not been implemented, makes me think that the developers aren’t/aren’t able to monitor this forum at 100%, or that perhaps even if they can, it’s not worth it because there aren’t many people on this forum.

I don’t doubt that the Devs are attentive to feedback, I really enjoyed the Q&A stream but many of these Forum suggestions are very specific and problem-solving oriented unlike the Q&A questions which are more focused on new content to add.

To make their lives as easy as possible, I want to group the topics they should consider.

I’ve grouped the topics by theme

My opinion might be biased, but I’m trying to be as rational as possible.

Topics written by me will be marked with ::panda:

For many of these topics, the discussion that has developed is more important than the first post. Please read the replies if you are truly interested.

- Simple QoL Needs

- Game difficulty and accessibility

- Discussions about Game Systems and their Problems

- Discussions about weapons and their problems

- Well thought out & Fun Suggestions

- Wishes for the future of the game

- Comprehensive Posts (Time Consuming)

Please suggest important Topics I’ve missed in the comments. If you’re interested in the topics I’ve listed, please read and comment to enrich the conversations.

Hey @Lombix_4 - god knows if any Dev’s will ever read your post, but if you don’t mind, it would be great to see Uniformity vs. Variety: Please Bring Back RNG Stats on Weapons! added to your list. Thx.

Wow thanks !! A big list. Let’s hope they see it, I am losing faith on the idea of devs looking this forum.

The conversation we had here is Good but the Devs already have many solutions planned for the problems discussed there, and it falls into the category of “adding content to increase variety” which the devs are already aware of even if they can’t yet tell us how they intend to implement the changes.

Edit: I changed my mind because devs can still use this topic to better understand the players’ perspective on RNG and how to implement it in the future, making different types of players happy.

Beautiful initiative as always ! It’s true that it’s pretty hard for us to tell if the time and effort we spend creating and reacting to different topics here on the forum has any impact on the NRFTW development process.

Couple of months ago I believe I heard Thomas said something like “We read everything on the forum and Discord” but they have so much work to do…

During the last Community Q&A they asked if we liked it and what kind of communication we would like to see in the future. Well here is an answer. There are a lot of 100 - 1000+ hours gameplay players on this forum with really valuable feedbacks and we would love to get some Devs comments or something like a monthly Youtube video “Forum situation” or “Forum overview”.

It is indeed some extra work on their side but if they want to improve communication, that’s something they should do. Otherwise I’m afraid veteran players will stop creating interesting and meaningful feedbacks.

I”ve read that post of you, don’t worry

It’s just that people tend to throw these “complete” “total” feedback threads that touch multiple area’s, so its not interesting to most. Some threads also repeat each other, and there is nothing new in it (not refering to yours!).

So ye, limited interaction from the playerbase, but it has probably been read by someone from Moon (or will be) who screens those feedback posts to see if anything new or alarming was mentioned.

I added a few topics, if you’re interested, take a look and tell me about interesting relevant topics I missed, or even to remove old topics from the list that you consider to be no longer relevant or that are too redundant.

@thomasmahler @kuro @Steve_Jewer, I hope it’s appropriate to tag you directly and that I don’t bother you, but obviously this post is made specifically to make it easier for Devs to search the sea of topics, I hope this helps you.
