With skill trees coming most likely to wicked it’s hard for me to picture what the devs have in mind. So I’m just gonna say what I could picture for this game since it’s not like other games and I hope it doesn’t just copy paste skill trees from other games.
I think that there should be a skill tree for every weapon type in wicked every off hand and every armor type.
Obviously this seems like a lot but I mean it’s a live service early access game. They could start off with small skill trees for everything and continue to add in more and more nodes as the game goes on.
Armor trees.
Cloth, leather, mesh, plate
I can think of hundreds of nodes for the armors. From bonuses to crafting the armors, to base armor, weight, increase in stats (even like int for cloth armor)
Weapons
There are alot of weapon types In this game correct me if I miss any.
one handed sword, one handed knife, duel daggers, two handed great sword, two handed curved sword, one handed curve sword, one handed mace, two handed great hammer, one handed axe, two handed great axe, two handed staff, two handed scyth, one handed spear, halbert, one handed hammer, one hand rapier, one handed katana and maybe more.
They could probably bundle the one handed swords all together. The great sword and great axe together. All the maces and hammers together, the daggers knife and katana together.
There could be nodes for Dmg, Crits, the classic type of nodes etc etc. but I’d like to see some where say after you spend 500 focus with the two handed scythe you can have a summon. going under 25% health gives you extra stamina and health regen using daggers. chance to heal in an area using maces and hammer. Dodge chance when using daggers and knifes. Charged weapon Dmg. Etc etc.
Off hands
Shields, bows, torches
I think they should add more off hands but there’s potential for even the torch to have its own tree!
And yes I literally think that there should be a skill tree for every armor type and weapon and off hand. No giant skill tree web! I think like a book, a skill book. That you can just flip pages to each different weapon and armor. With tabs.
And ya since it’s an early access and live service game I think they should constantly add to their skill trees why wouldn’t they? I think if Diablo 4 added more skills into there tree it be the smartest thing they could do!
