The cost of time seems expensive enough. The health cost has a number of downsides and reasons I think it’s bad:
- if you’re low on life you don’t succeed the res
- You can eat food, but then you’re out of food after a while
- If food isn’t a limit, then it might as well not cost food, right?..
I feel like the time it takes to resurrect is enough penalty as it is
Resurrect is a risky action.
Wipe and restart or risk and ress? Thats where the choice happens.
And you have also healing runes. We are using them a tons.. they are very helpful. Try to equip one in your utility slots if you are out of food.
I can see where you are coming from.
I played in a group of 2-3 players during 2 player it was very risky to revive however in 3 player it was very easy. One player could grab aggro while the other rez. Possible they could make it cheaper to revive in 2 player lobbys but ultimately I think the system works fine and as intend.
That could be fixed by making resurrecting take longer in 3p games.
At the very least, I think a quick fix is:
- No health penalty when out of combat
- Slash current penalty in 2 or 3
Honestly, I don’t even mind a health penalty, but right now it’s ridiculously high
I’ve played in 2 and 3 player, it feels fine in 2 player, feels like a joke in 3 player. Just need to make 3+ player rez more punishing and leave 2 player alone.
