I really like the rework of the Bows and the Quiver system. We have run into issues within co-op though. The Quiver turns the bows into grenade launchers that essentially stagger the rest of the team on boss fights. It makes it very difficult to work as a team because you are missing out on solid DPS having to wait your turn as the bowman or as the melee fighter going in for the attack. If the quiver is turned off it isn’t as much of an issue, but we are looking for the times where the melee player is pulling aggro and the Bowman wants to launch some grenades to pull it back and is adding the status effects that are desired.
My recommendation, an offhand toggle with quivers. swapping between quivers would be great as well. having 2 quivers equipped. one frost and one lightning. So you can add the left right directional pad default off, press left and equip frost. press left again and equip lightning. press it again and back to quiver unequipped. from that spot press right and lightning is equipped. (sorry for the over explanation). Or Allow to toggle the quiver effects on and off with the offhand toggle, like a shield. You hold the quiver button to shoot the equipped type. I think the quivers are a little overpowered in their current state so maybe a really light cost to quiver effects could be applied if you didn’t want to do a simple toggle effect. i.e. like focus cost of 10 per shot or something of that nature.
I think the bows are in a better spot and they are really fun to play with in the group and it gives another option within the co-op that isn’t another Melee which is great I think that is very necessary. Playing with a group of 4 people, we had to have essentially 2 Melee and 2 range and we don’t all want to run the same build so this is a good way to help mitigate that, but within co-op currently the bow with quiver is a bit of a hindrance, the bow without quiver is great for co-op. But I think there is somewhere in between that it becomes a better feel and DPS and status application.
you guys are doing great work on the game and I am really enjoying it. thank you for the hard work.
