About 40 hours, week 1 EA, hot fix 5, spoilers.
TLDR: 10/10 this game is absolutely going to be a mainstay and even though it’s early access I cannot give it enough praises! Great team, constant improvements and involvement this game is going places its phenomenal. I am estatic to be part of the journey. Do you wish hades & bloodborne had a baby, had very involved parents to raise it right? you would get something like this. Devs you are doing everything right.

Now to do what early access is for and give constructive criticism I know unheard of saying it’s great and has minor flaws…Blasphemy!
For the dev team and what I would like to see going forward without repeating what everyone else is already saying Hopefully. it still has 2 thumbs WAY up and gets my seal of approval. I fully plan on multiple characters and playing more but after one “full” ea playthrough this is my 2 cents. About 40 hours In game and hot fix 5 for this.
●switch walk and run. Hold button to walk, not hold to run. Easy fix for auto run.
●compare items. Please.
●Hide helmet option- I wanna see my cerim.
changing helmets causes top left icon to wear multiple helmets at once and is super buggy for the avatar picture. Especially when going helmetless then putting one on not just switching.
●Storage idea- racks. (Examples weapon rack, wardrobe, rune book…) a single rack that can be placed in your house that allows access to your “home storage” multiple tabs start with about 10 per weapon/armor/rune types, just like how inventory has tabs but more in depth. Chests are difficult to manage and moving them is a pain, especially if you wanna organize alot. (The more work the computer can do the less the player does and hence more time playing) Having a home storage puts them all in one place and the rack simply allows you access to this (no rack no access, but its still there), and can be moved to decorate to your liking. “Simple” but effective. Maybe ichor to unlock 10 more slots at a time per tab? it can be tweaked and gets a use out of extra ichor, Win win. This keeps items in your realm and not having to go through ALOT of chests. Pre house option can be something like “send home” to help before you have a house and chests, chests can still be used just not mandatory. On the ichor topic I feel like with crucible boss dropping more than 1 your eventually swimming in it. But you could have weekly bosses or non story bosses drop a separate ichor to boost home inventory slots and then as endgame/late game progresses your good gear roster have a home and its optional. This also allows filtering to not have to be a setting in a chest. I can just go to my runebook and go to the “1 handed” tab and see my options. Trying not to write a novel but I can go more in depth on this if needed.
●Favorite/trash items. it’s needed.
●crafting items (food) Into the equipped slot to keep one stack going instead of a separate non equipped stack that can be merged later anyway.
●having an option to Queue the next item it will use in the menu. Without holding d pad to change it I wanna know what item will be next or be able to order it. Juggling mid combat not practical. To many times has my next healing item been a single tomatoe.
● option to equip a second food item (keep same cool down as first) but this allows options for little or big heals without menu hopping. And shouldn’t effect balance.
●rounded ledges seem to keep you from getting back on them and slowly force you off if no other option. Best example is crucible room with a ramp on the right to an item and has fire shoot at you. My character will not go up that ramp. When on similar rounded ledges it’s a fall to death.
●throw is ridiculously strong probabaly needs nerfed. And 1H spears can’t throw? Probabaly a bug. But with the spin style throw I see why you wouldnt on a polearm, maybe make it spiral instead?
● when jumping to vines you slide down ever so slightly, this can plummet you to your death. Only happened once but it felt like rolling a nat 1 so maybe keep it haha.
●doors can be sidled. clothes shop counter and my house door have been sidled far to often. Make it so they can’t be sidled against. I don’t need to secret agent into my house.
● can’t get loot that falls in water. Wash to shore, or allow pickup?
●why can’t I cut down the crucible trees?
●Hide the “pick up item” while in pause menu way to many times have I tried to pick up an item when still paused. Hopefully not just a me issue…
● some ledges don’t jump especially if not perpendicular to them. You will just run right off. Example spot crucible room with stone stairs going up and jumps needed. That jump to the chest I have given up on. Far to many runs ended in my plummet to the bottom. Make it so running and edges always jump and walking does not.
●crucible elevator can leave without you and then jumping in after it will, you guessed it plummet to death haha.
●I would love to be ae to change the “main rune” on weapons even if it’s 1 time only some of my favorite weapons just don’t get that skill used. 1 time override would really help keep the early game gear still very user specific later. I see no need for weapon skins but a rune change would make me love my baemore that much more.
●remove gems? I love white gear but there are not enough gems to go around. (Especially early game) Maybe make them “chip” down a tier on removal once higher gems unlock so they can be reused but at a price? Doesn’t help now but even removing would be welcome. Might effect balance if able to reroll but I’d like it anyway.
● storage room in areas doesn’t respawn chests/loot seems like they should after unlocked.
●regen armor abilities are way to slow maybe im supposed to stack like 3+ but it’s basically non existent from what I’ve seen so far.
●clarify “extra” element damage also infuses weapon with element.
●romance? Would love to see it. You make lovable characters doesn’t have to be a core mechanic.
●view items up close I wanna admire the art.
●silver ore is more expensive than a bar of silver?
●ground pop out enemies need a tell especially since they insta kill. Some disturbed dirt or something.
●fallen ember animation doesn’t line up sometimes, also could shorten this and once active stays active but going down elevator will consume an ember.
