Question for the Devs: Will My Breach Character/Savefile Become Unplayable Again in the Next Expansion?

Question to Moon Studios people

If I create a new character/savefile now and play through the whole game again (including The Breach), will my new savefile become legacy again for the next big expansion? I really like your game, but I was very saddened to hear that my old character won’t be able to continue to The Breach. No worries though, it’s expected from Early Access and I’d do it again. BUT I don’t want to play the whole game again only for my 2nd savefile to become unplayable in the next big expansion. Can you guarantee that we will keep our characters/savefiles/progress created for The Breach forever (even after the game officially launches)? I prefer to wait until the official release if I am going to lose my characters every year.

Start the story over, there’s nothing terrible about it, and that’s how you’ll preserve the integrity of the story.

The wipe happened due to just how much time passed between the last update and The Breach. Going forward, they do not have plans to wipe until the full release (1.0). It goes without saying though that anything is subject to change.
