I also just experienced this. I’m permanently offline and it won’t let me see any of my existing realms.
Verifying game integrity didn’t do anything. Tried switching the game to crucible_legacy mode and clicking the “Update” button but that eventually just fails to update too:
Hey guys i just found out the solituon for endles “enjoying the realm”. All u have to do is unplug ur network cable, and then try using hotspot from ur phone. after u connect computer to the hotspot open the game and connect to the server with ur friends. if it gonna work (for me it worked) exit the game, plug ur cable once again disable hotspot and tadam! it worked for me and hope it gonna be good for u all lads. give me respond how u made it
I’ve been trying to play online since the first day of the game and I can’t. It seems my user account is LOCKED and I can’t create or share kingdoms, nor can I join shared kingdoms. I’ve tried everything possible, now I’ve deleted everything – my character, my world – and I still can’t. Here are the requested details.
Just a reminder for myself. People eligible for this topic can connect to their own local Realm, but not shared ones and have a banner that reminds them they are offline.
I can only create local realms. When I create an online world or try to connect to another player’s online world, I get a disconnection message. I even went so far as to delete everything and start from scratch, but I had no success.
I tried all possibilities that you suggestion in your link but not working. When I try to play the mode online not working. I delete my char and my realm, Right now I’m left with nothing, like I’m starting the game and it still doesn’t work. I’m disappointed with the game in this regard. I love this game, I spend hours and hours playing and farming, and I don’t understand why they can’t fix this.
I am facing an issue where I cannot join my friends realm, and cannot share my own with them. The game is showing me as OFFLINE and pressing the reconnect button fails immediately. I’ve looked at the Player.log and Player-prev.log and shows that it cannot resolve the hostname for prod.gatekeeper.norestforthewickedbackend.net. The only fix I found was to run the game as admin through going to the installed files and right-clicking the game.exe file → properties → Compatibility and checking the run as administrator option.
I’m sure that it’s something with my setup, as my other friend who bought the game with me did not face this issue. I’ve left some more details down below.
Network Connection Failure - Requires Administrator Privileges
Game Version: Build 26973
Issue: Game fails to connect to authentication servers when launched normally from Steam client.
Error Details:
Log shows: [SteamLogin] Authentication failed with System.Net.WebException: Error: NameResolutionFailure
I am unable to connect to online services unless the game is launched immediately after a restart. Pressing the “Reconnect” button does not resolve this issue. Launching the game in the legacy version does appear to allow me to connect as usual, but obviously I would like to play the most recent build.
Fixes tried:
Reinstall, verify game files, update drivers, restart pc, restart router/modem, allowed game access through firewall.
I ran into this issue and after a bit of testing, was able to get the online function to work only with a HDD. When the game is installed on either an M.2 or an SSD the online function is unavailable.
After moving the game file, I had to verify file integrity and it works.
I played online with a computer on the same home network and one that is in another state. As of a week ago it worked but now the game says that I am offline and trying to reconnecting doesn’t do anything.
I have tried restarting and am in the process of switching to the crucible_legacy version (which takes nearly an hour to download ).
If that doesn’t work I will try the other things that have been suggested on here (such as elevated privileges).
I’m guessing it has something to do with the local network since the other computer (with a different steam account) is having the same issue but my friend in another state is not.
I think I am having the same issue as @mialajmi but will post logs when I can. Here is an error line from my logs: Exception Thrown: "System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: An error occurred while sending the request —> System.Net.WebException: Error: NameResolutionFailure
