Patch Notes | Together Hotfix 9

:hammer_and_wrench: Early Access Patch Notes - Together Hotfix 9

Hey folks,

There were a few people affected by rollbacks from prior changes. We’re including fixes that will address the two cases that were found to restore players’ saves that got rolled back.

  1. The first case is for players that had varying levels of rollbacks to realms and characters (mostly for those who had missing realms that got fixed with the server maintenance). If you had this issue, you should now have your characters and realms back to where they were originally, however you will also have duplicate characters and realms from the restore.

    • If you had this issue please review the duplicate realms and characters and delete the ones you don’t want to keep
  2. The second case is for players who had characters that rolled back to level 1. The data that caused this issue to occur has been fixed, but it does require a few manual steps to restore your character:

    1. Download our Moon Restore Tool here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1K8GtIaSjKb_gZPB5CZpdRNs3BNoXt_24/view?usp=drive_link
    2. Launch the game.
    3. Go to %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Moon Studios\NoRestForTheWicked\DataStore.
    4. Before doing anything else, copy the DataStore folder to another location as a backup in case you need to revert changes.
    5. Extract MoonRestoreTool.zip in any folder.
    6. Double click MoonRestoreTool.exe.
    7. You will see a list of all your current characters and also the ones you played in the previous build, along with their level. Characters that are detected as being rolled back will be shown with a red tag [ROLLED BACK].
    8. Type 1 to toggle between displaying all characters or just the ones that have been rolled back.
    9. Type 2 to restore all characters that got rolled back to their original state (whatever was there prior to the rollback). Alternatively, type 3 to restore just a single character. The list will update accordingly after any changes are made.
    10. Optionally, type 3 to undo one of the previously restored characters (the ones shown with a green tag [RESTORED]), if something goes wrong.
    11. DO NOT try to load into any realms after this step.
    12. Relaunch the game and confirm the characters are restored, and you are free to start playing.

I’m having trouble using the tool. When I click to run it, even when running as administrator, it does nothing. It seems like the exe open and close a window very fast but no list with the characters appear or anything. And I already turned off my antivirus

Hey! I just updated the tool with one that will give an error message before closing if there is something wrong

it say:Error: System.Exception: Exception of type ‘System.Exception’ was thrown.
at Program.$(String args) in C:\Code\moon-backup-tool\Program.cs:line 14
how fix?

For me it popped up the exact same message

We’re looking into it. Will post an updated tool soon.

Not sure if this is the right place, but since this last update I can no longer get through the crucible. When I reach the halfway point (the nice creature that has items for sale and lets you repair) the game gets a connection issue and kicks me to the main menu after displaying the screen “attempting to reconnect”. Happened three times consecutively so figured I would post it in the hopes it come to y’all’s attention sooner than later. Thanks!

Make a new report about this please in the bug section of the forum

It doesn’t work for me; every time I log into the game, my character resets to level 1.

I used the MoonRestoreTool and while it has turned my ROLLEDBACK character to RESTORED, I now a duplicate character that I cannot use. Whenever I select the correct character (the level 30), it never actually goes in a Realm. But when I go back to select the characters, that level 30 character is gone.

Reopen the game > Lvl 30 Char A and Lvl 12 Char A is available > Try going to a Realm - fails > Go back to Menu, Lvl 30 Char A is now gone.
