I changed the title and my original post, according to our findings and discussion so far.
Ah, got it. Thanks for your input.
For me it is clear tho: i will not craft any weapons anymore in the near future. Right now it is a waste of resources if you plan to enchant the item after crafting. And the resource invest is immense. So I’ll just wait it out for now.
Regarding the roll frequency I am still a bit invested. I will have an eye on it, maybe we can add some serious math/numbers to it at some point.
The developers have the numbers themselves so it would be easy for them to check them rather than us manually checking it.
I also don’t random enchant equipment that is crafted or equipment that can’t be purchased. It is simply not worth it with enchanting being too skewed towards randomization. There should be elements of customization within the randomization.
Looking at the future we will receive more affixes and such. I think attaching gems to affix pools can help us achieve some customization. Rubies = Heat based affixes for instance. Maybe a specific parry gem even. So we can influence which pools have a higher/lower probability.
I also don’t think doing proper statistics would be worth it, the result is not worth the effort.
But this is a rare case where i am actually motivated to do mathing. so maybe i’ll just do it for fun ![]()
Yep, I agree with what you said. The current curse system sucks. I have had to sell soooo many items that had an unrealistic curse expectation (i.e, experience loss of death; gold loss on death, health/focus continually drain). If we have to deal with curses at least give us a way to farm to remove a curse from an item.
Overall though, I find the enchantment system needs a ton of work to become meaningful and viable. I also believe, as I have stated before, gold unique items should all be way stronger than they currently are in the game. Lastly, yes it is not for this post, food time between consumption should be reduced. Having to wait 18 seconds for a food pop while fighting Echno Knight blows. I really hope they give back healing on hit/focus regen a lot more. I despise that they nerfed this based on the 1% steamer population (who loves to ruin gaming for the rest of us). Also, I hope they increase health and focus regen to better levels again. This is another area they nerfed into oblivion because of the streamers. Bad decisions in my opinion.
As i understood, crucible will massively change, with roguelite elements, like pick up a perk each floor.
I would not be surprised if those perks had buffs, that compensate recent nerfs. Crucible will be a part of the game, that can almost be understood as a standalone.
and yes, not related to this post specifically, but i think recent nerfs were made in sight of multiplayer and main game balance. Infinite focus would have just broken the “story game”. Just imagine exploring new areas and bosses, and basically have no challenge at all.
Let’s see how they change/improve enchantments and crafting. hopefully rather sooner than later imo.
Yeah, maybe the roguelite elements will add to some of the crucible areas that suck. I do believe that there should be a check point before the crucible boss so that players are not having to go through the whole thing to get a stab at boss mechanics each time and spending embers over and over again. To have to farm and use embers over and over is a tedious mechanic, which is not something any other roguelite game has. However, the embers for respec is in a great spot in my opinion.
You have no idea how many people have been trying to change the very core of this game since day one, they complain about parry, stamina, the whole souls like slow pacing combat, the housing, the gathering of resources, the fast traveling, even the walking speed.
If i was rude i apologize, but i dont think i was i even said i sucked too, its just frustrating to see these Diablo players trying to turn this game into another murder hobo munchkin paradise.
Yep, I totally get what you mean. I am myself on the arpg team, so I would like to add that the soulsie fraction is not so much different. However you are definitively right with that… this can get annoying and let ones tone snap from time to time (been there, done that).
Thanks, and appreciated. ![]()
I am not sure if you meant me or my post. I do in fact parry. and i do have an parry build.
But for other builds i would rather need “on damage” or “on kill” stats, because 3 on parry stats on a weapon would not really be a benefit, since i would not use them with this build.
Take spellcasters for example. I really do NOT need 3 on parries on my 2hand staff, since i rune attack from afar. got the drift?
I am not trying to change the core of the game, i love this game. I want to put some suggestions out there, that would in my opinion make it feel better.
As long as crafting is expensive as hell and enchantment fully random, there is no way i will craft a weapon and enchant it, just to afterwards sell it. Multiple threads here already pointed out the issues with crafting and enchantment.
And this here is mostly about the frequency of the on parry perk. there are 8 on parry perks, but only 4 on dmg for example. this alone makes them more frequent. plus they seem to roll more frequently.
Just balancing that out would already be a step in the right direction.
Also i would appreciate, if you would not just come in here and yell at people, but add somethign to the discussion ![]()
