Actually I can’t understand all protectors of this really strange decision. It’s just looks waaaay better
Here is what I think.
MoonStudio has some of the best animation in the industry. NRFTW is a top down game that needs a very clear “reading” of what’s going on during combat.
The most important parts of the body during combat movements are the forearms and that’s why they are so big. It helps make everything visible, every swing, every hit feel very powerful !
I agree they could reduce the size just a little bit but new players have to understand this art direction is crucial to maintain the visual quality of this unique gameplay we enjoy so much.
Note: I don’t remember anyone complaining about Ori’s huge forearms back in the days x)
…it’s the art style, dude lol
Art style didn’t change
…do you even know what an art style is?
And you? Just try to read definition
And say something about devs who change “art style” in current build of the game
You’re just bending the art style of the game into standardised proportions, making it boring, already seen, not unique (;
Just like the devs made with female character
You complaining about the body proportions of the female character in a videogame creeps me out tbh
So what’s the point №2
So it’s boring when they make normal male arms but when women have normal arms it’s totally not boring lol
People are also getting lost on what’s the real big offender, and it’s not even the arms on the male.
The males look like Fiddlesticks from LoL with those nonexistent calves.
Please look at this modification, Moon. It’s a significant improvement, and I hope the guy also does a revision of the legs.
It’s crazy how people will justify how much uglier and freakish the male characters have to be compared to the much more normally proportioned women.
And then people will act surprised when 90%+ of the characters on live release end up being people playing the woman character.
This just sucks for people who like playing male characters. Give us sliders at least.
As someone else mentioned, the arm length is very likely to help with the beautiful animations with all the weapons in the game. It helps give that extra umph when swinging around a giant axe if the arms are exaggerated a bit.
That being said, it’s a fantasy world and I like to think the people just evolved from orangutans because it’s funny.
Your fixation on an artistic choice that has 0 consequence on the entirety of the game baffles me lol
Pick a struggle, girl
Agree 100% Exactly what I thought when I first saw the characters proportions.
Just because you can’t grasp the consequences of an unattractive male character model doesn’t mean it doesn’t have an impact on the game, including its sales. That much should be obvious about the amount of threads constantly popping up about it.
What’s even more baffling is that a grown adult still subscribes to the idea that if something doesn’t bother them personally, then it’s really not a problem. It’s not a problem for you; it is absolutely a problem for others. The world is not just clones of you.
Be amused all you like, but by that point it’s obvious any further exchange from you on this matter is not good faith exchange.
Cry me a river lol if you’re looking for normal proportions, try other games? Like everyone else?
Lol
You still ignore dev’s “artistic choice” regarding female characters
I’ll do you one better, off to the mute list you go, you insufferable brat.
