Indeed, imagine the mini-game you could play, flying/gliding and fighting to get into the city.

There was an invincibility glitch before the Breach, not sure they’ve fixed it, but I’ve been wanting to try it and get in Caylen right now. But seems like they have pretty tight measure to make sure no-one gets to explore it. You character gets popped like a balloon if you go near the invisible wall lol

Man, flying over these beautiful areas could be amazing! But looking at how the game is optimised I predict lots of a asset/texture popping if we travel too fast.

i might be with a minority here, but i think mounts would not really fit wicked. a glider maybe, or some way to grapple up low ledges, but the whole level design is build around climbing and balancing etc.

a mount would in my opinion be super lame here, especially if it was a flying mount or something like a chocobo which can jump up things. would completely ruin some of the “secret loot spots” if u could just hop on your mount and get that shiny without finding shortcuts etc.

while unlimited fast travel also works against some of the level design as well, u at least have to still explore to find all loot spots.

While I don’t really see the devs ever adding mounts or even gliders. The “secret spots” are usually just a chest with redundant items inside.

Granted, there are indeed some worthwhile secrets like the hidden boss in the Woods.

That said.. we already have something akin to the speed of a mount.
*The RoD + “Blink” combo for general traversal.

It would be cool if there were special mounts like the ones in GW2 or perhaps spells that could be used to solve puzzles like in Golden Sun.

Lets keep that for an Addon or future future update. would be nice.

Patch 1 will offer fast travel to all different whispers, but I think it should be locked in pestilance areas, so you have to clean the area first of the pestilance around the whisper, to use it
