I feel like you guys are giving too much credit to what I think might just be a loud minority. Things like item stack capacity, fast travel, and resource scarcity are honestly things that don’t need to be changed. Ever since you guys buffed the amount of food you find around the map I have essentially never ran out. Fast travel should have a more delicate solution like: only settlements like Sacrament and Marin Village have waypoints that are accessible from anywhere. Or you could create a house in Marin where we could place a Cerim waypoint and teleport there that way. 999 item stack is way too high for a game like this. To me it’s supposed to feel a bit grindy and difficult to manage. That’s part of what makes this game so immersive. Same goes for inventory stacking to 99. it should be around 30, maybe 50 at the most.
If anyone else agrees please upvote this or whatever you do on this forum. I really loved the way this game used to be balanced and it’s frustrating to see it drifting away from that.
I don’t mind scarcity but if I manage to gather items I want to be able to stack them properly, 20-30 stacks are way to low, so happy to make it harder to find items, but in my chest let me stack up to 99, why not, if I managed to gather that much even being hard, let it be.
They are looking to make Wicked a game people can play for years to come. If you carry your same character all throughout you will run out of chests and houses to put chests in if you can’t stack items that far. Even now in EA people were running out of storage. It doesn’t change anyone’s experience playing at early levels, and it only helps the hardcore. They also said fast travel will be through an upgrade system, it won’t be immediately free.
Right. I think you’re right on the money. Chest stacks should be 99 not 999. I want inventory stack specifically to be lower than 99. It just feels like a weirdly high number to me. Like 50 sounds about right.
I’ve got close to 250 hours in the game and not once have I gotten anywhere close to running out of room. There is no way this is a real problem. Also they’re certainly going to add more player housing in different towns and cities so they can address this issue through that. I just want the game to feel more immersive.
yesterday i actually had 71 dumplings in my inventory lol.
i also think it does absolutely not matter if the stack size is 99 or whatever. everything is better than the 20 we had before. and when u do not need 99 or 999 then where is the problem with having that? whats the actual point of decreasing that again? how does that improve anything?
Ok the flip side you have “houses” that turn into chest locker rooms and serve no aesthetic function beyond a closet.
I like the change and feel like it’s pretty obviously only centered around player QoL allowing for a more well designed home layout that can serve as a base of operations without being covered in chest and walking corridors.
