LOST Small chests at house with all stored items inside

So I had 6 medium chests that I bought, and placed in my house, and 2 small chests, I stored 55 fallen embers inside one of the small chests.
and I quit the game for couple of hours, and when I logged back I couldnt find my 2 chests, and I lost all the items inside them aswell …

i lost items when placed them inside chest and logging off, weapon, 3 rings and mining tools

I also just noticed that I lost lots of my items (mainly or mostly resources) from inside my chests.
