Item rolls should affect price

When it comes to the ‘sale value’ (or purchase value) of an item, I feel like the stats on an item should affect it’s price. Primarily enchantments, but could extend to armor/poise/stamina/focus as well.

It’s odd seeing a trash item next to an insanely good one, and the price still being identical.
Whether you price different enchantments at different values would be something to think about.
However to start, I think simply having an increasing price based upon how close to the min-max roll each enchantment is.
You could also include facets in the calculation as well.

A rough example could be: (keeping simplistic 1-100 scales for the example only)

Level 10 item
Base price: 50
Facet: (optional)
Enchantment 1: (1-100)
Enchantment 2: (1-100)
Enchantment 3: (1-100)

Plate Helm: 50
Critical Damage increased by 15%: +50 (50% of max. Range is 10-20%)
Gain 40% Thorns: +100 (Max roll)
Elemental Resistance increased by 5% +1 (Min roll)
Total value: 2 silver 1 copper. (201)

Obviously the min-max values would differ, as even min roll enchantments have inherent value, but you get the idea.
When it comes to plagued items, the negative would also detract from the value based upon how ‘bad’ the roll is. (the reverse)

Good items should be worth more.

Quite frankly it would not matter.

At least for now the intrinsic value of the rolls is so much higher than any monetary value the items would sell for.

By endgame we also have so much money it’s a bit of a non-issue.

I think it had that before the together updates xD
I abused it..

to sell it for more than what i had originally spent to enchant it.
and quite frankly it wouldnt really matter for me either.

Im still not against the idea :+1:

If that is the case, I can see why they removed it while they worked on a solution.

You should never be able to ‘reliably’ sell an item for more than you paid to enchant it. Or interact with any simple in game system that provides an infinite profit loop.

Perhaps just being able to infinitely enchant items at the vendor is in itself a problem? Or the enchant price is too cheap?

Either way I think it makes sense for items you be valued differently based upon their performance. If there’s systems that currently cause that to be a problem those too should be fixed. (In time)

the price was a standard 50 copper. But now however it isnt..

Now its based on item Tier/lvl i think?
even the price of inserting runes go up with Tier/lvl so its cheaper to insert runes before you upgrade your weapon i think?
