This isn’t anything huge, just a minor thing I believe would add to the immersion a bit! The game already has the “World come to life” feeling as it is, but I always come back to this while I’m selling or buying things from different vendors:
As a small detail would it be possible for you to make specific item types different prices depending on the merchant they’re being sold to and vise versa.
For example if I’m selling ingots to Fillmore, shouldn’t the prices be higher because he specifically uses them for his work? I would imagine selling ingots to say Eleanor, for instance, what would she do with copper ingots? So she would offer you less money for them if you were to sell them to her. I believe this is a minor inconvenience for players, but gives you a reason to sell to certain vendors in order to maximize your return on investment.
With that said, Grinnich is a general goods vendor, so he would offer you less for almost everything you may sell him, except for things he would consider to be “Top sellers” or “High Value”. While implementing something like this you could also offer a “Buy Back” feature from Grinnich specifically, as he feels more like a pawn shop after adding the previous feature.
I hope this is something others have experienced while shopping around or trying to make a quick buck for upgrades!
This game has occupied a very large portion of my time since its release, and I can’t wait to see what’s to come! Thank you for reading.
i do not like this idea, managing item is already super tedious, my house on the place near danos is filled with chest for each type of equipment and ressources already, i love that coming back from my crucible i can reach out the closest NPC from the whisper to sell everything and go back to the crucible. i wouldnt like thinking i’m losing on profit because i didn’t waste 5minutes runing around for every npc to optimize my sellings :s
Once you reach T3, the wood guy and the enchantress are getting a shop twice the distance from the leather armor sisters and it would be a pain to have to reach out for each of the npc everytime i wanna empty my inventory >_<
the only reason i’d like this kind of feature, is if later on the game you can hire a pawn that will take care of this for me XD and is coming along with other cool features / story / quests haha
