We still have to see how expansive this game aims to be, what systems they intend to include down in the long run.
If the game is “capped” to a certain degree, if there is no constantly evolving end-game game loop. Then there’s no discussion to be had, whether or not they game should incorporate “ease of access” systems such as an ultimate respec.
But If they do aim for longevity, with systems like “seasons” (hate to use the term personally), but something like expansions, then allowing “ease of access” becomes a much bigger challenge to adress and how to incorporate effectively.
At this point it’s hard to say. I’m a 3D designer myself, and I work in the VR industry. If this game is “hand made”, incorporating very litte work related shortcuts (i.e. no array systems, procedural generation, etc.) then allowing for expansions is going to be a very time-consuming, and costly task. But It all depends on how they attempt to approach it, if at all.
Blizzard did it the worst way…
