I’ve come across multiple weapons at higher level that could be found early game and they all have a higher requirement than the early game counterpart. My only question is… Why?
Because technically speaking, if you have a say a level 1 Blood-Stained Sword with a 10 strength requirement and at later stage you would the find, say, a level 9 version with a 42 requirement. Now, whenever you upgrade a weapon type, for example a one-handed straight sword, they all upgrade their base damage at a fixed value regardless of which one-handed straight sword it is so eventually that level 1 sword would have the same base as the level 9 one.
So my question is : Whats the purpose of having the weapon at higher level have a higher requirement when you could just use the lower level weapon and upgrading it to match the higher level and get the same base damage and still be able to use it without needing to spec in more stats?
