Weapon attribute requirements too high?

After defeating the final boss, I was rewarded with an awesome legendary bow. Normally legendary weapons are end-game material, but in your system all weapons have the potential to be good if you put in the time to upgrade them. So it is a little frustrating being given a weapon I can’t actually use for another 9 level-ups (and that’s assuming I dump all my attribute points into dexterity).

I propose lowering the attribute requirements, and if necessary for balancing, you could lower the base damage of the weapon too (although this might not even be necessary). Then at least we could use the weapon whilst putting in the time to upgrade it and make it better.

Another solution would be if our character doesn’t meet the attribute requirements, then we could still be allowed to use the weapon, but with a penalty on the damage it deals, or some other penalty (e.g., it still does max damage, but the weapon is heavier than it should be).

Fun fact: This Legendary is objectively worse than the T2 white Dex bow. Because oddly enough dealing 37% bonus Heat damage against beasts on a Tuesday is not as good as being able to infinitely spam a 400 damage Cone shot from the opposite end of the screen. Who could have thought?

Teehee early access games can get silly.

Yep. The Cone Shot is ridiculous. It’s worse than Flurry in terms of making boss fights a joke. Who needs stagger anyway? Just chug focus potions from across the room and let loose.

Interestingly Thomas joked about this kind of enchantment in the interview with Rhykker.
