Before The Breach update, I kept dying. While I was dealing good damage, I was also taking quite a bit, and it was harder to level up. Now that I’m playing the new update, the game is much easier than before, and I feel like I level up faster too.
I don’t feel it was necessary to change the game’s difficulty, and this isn’t a criticism. I just want to know what the decision to reduce the difficulty was based on, or if this is a consequence of another set of changes that came with The Breach.
The game’s difficulty was ruined in recent hotfixes after the breach (especially in hotfix2, which turned the game into something resembling brainless diablo-like button mashing simulator).
FWIW, they promise realm tiers/options to turn this game back to something more normal. How exactly that will be implemented, remains to be seen. Unfortunately the amount of things that will have to be reversible is growing day by day.
