Absolutely love the game, but has anyone tried to make another character in the same realm? It’s almost amazing, and when I first started I was like woah nice, but in the course of a few hours the original area became dangerous and I can’t even kill enemies with my lvl 3. Character, and even when I do the xp gained is like nothing? It’s also confusing how xp gain does not seemed to be tied with enemy difficulty? Overall it also seems a bit stingy and idk if that’s just because I’m higher in the main character level (14), but it feels like I am stuck with my alt character. Just wanted to bring that up as a somewhat significant issue for additional characters in a realm.
you should create a new realm for new character, its more rewarding that way. when you have done the main content you can go back to your main realm
Just in case you don’t know, characters are not tied to a relam, so you can create a new realm and join with any character to that realm, if you want to level an alt you can start in the new realm so you have easy mobs and then continue on your main realm where you already did some progress.
Also higher level mobs do reward more xp, and if you get some gear with your main that you can later give to your alt via storage in the city, its easy to kill higher level mobs
I definitely did not know you can jump realms! That’s really useful information I will probably just do that then, thank you for the reply!
I’m on my 10th character, each one I play until they beat the crucible. Hopping realms is a great option in this as what I tend to do is start them on a new realm, get about 3 ichor from the first boss, and the two weekly challenges, then switch to my main realm where the town is finished so I can get to crafting them gear and head into the Crucible around level 10-13.
The enemy exp is definitely higher at higher difficulties but depending on how much you upgrade your gear you might have to rely on cheesing the enemies a bit by say pushing them off cliffs, having them run into their own bombs, etc etc until you level up a bit…or just stick with the new realm until you’re ready to switch.
I have. My main, I was running dual daggers most of the time and switched over to something else pretty late. Made a second character to try out different weapons and stats.
