Fast travel to all whispers, whispers should heal you

fast travel between all whispers and fast travel between town and all whispers is the same with an extra step

My impression is that the fact that thereā€™s a destination sub-menu when selecting fast travel at whisper (you first click travel option, then need to choose Sacrament) suggests that there will be more destinations to travel to, weā€™re just not far enough in the game yet with EA. Another town maybe? New map in the next chapter?
But certainly there should be an option to fast travel to crucible.

And Iā€™m also on the ā€œwhispers should not healā€ side. Itā€™s not souls game, enemies donā€™t respawn, why should you heal then? Thatā€™s what consumables are for, and as it has been said already, thereā€™s plenty of them in the game.

The current issue with whispers not healing, in my opinion, is that players can kill themselves (without gear equipped) to achieve the same effect. That said, it likely would be exploited much further .

Here are some (mutually exclusive) ideas to implement this:

1. whispers would heal the missing health (no more) upon interacting, but at a rate of 2% per second. This would give the player a boost, but would deter players from going back over and over as they would have to wait even longer for the full benefit. This could also be applied to resurrection for increased difficulty.

2. whispers would only heal the player once each BUT this ability would reset upon the player returning to town. This would add a dynamic of players trying to last until they reach the next whisper, which I think would make it more fun, and in my case would likely lead to more deaths as a result of trying to save food because Iā€™m ā€˜almost thereā€™.

3. whispers would fully heal if played on a ā€˜casualā€™ gameplay setting. I wouldnā€™t use this setting personally, but based on feedback Iā€™ve read, there is enough demand that this is needed as the cost to implement would be well worth the added sales (this mode shouldnā€™t interact with the normal mode in any way).

Itā€™s clear they didnā€™t intend on fast travel between whispers, but as the game grows I do hope they have multiple hubs to fast travel between. As mentioned above, this is likely the case given that we are currently presented an option of 1 destination - no point in asking where if the where is always the same place.

Whispers donā€™t heal because enemies donā€™t respawn when you interact with them ala every other souls-like.

While it is strange in concept to get used to Whisper not healing, there is an over abundance of heals in this game.

You canā€™t Whisper to any point youā€™ve unlocked because thereā€™s no need, the map is tight, it takes ~2 minutes to get from Sacrament to any other Whisper on foot.

It seems by the Whisper menus that there will be more hub-whispers, similar to Sacrament, in the future that you will be able to select from.

By not allowing you to fast travel to any Whisper, youā€™re forced to run through portions of the world, contend with new, more difficult enemiesā€¦ and you knowā€¦ actually play the game.

I think this is only true because bosses could stand to be deadlier. And I hope they are deadlier in future content.
