After spending time exploring different builds, I wanted to share some feedback on the Faith attribute. Compared to other builds, Faith feels underpowered and thematically inconsistent.
Faith-heavy melee options are serviceable but lack the weight and satisfaction of pure Strength builds. The casting abilities, while functional, appear to be reskinned fire spells with plague effects. This aesthetic overlap makes Faith feel like a diluted version of other builds rather than a distinct path.
More importantly, Faith is missing the core fantasy that defines it in other RPGs. Typically, Faith builds are associated with divine power, healing, smiting undead, protective blessings, and holy wrath. In this game, those elements are either absent or barely present. Without Holy-themed spells or mechanics, it is difficult to justify investing heavily in Faith. It does not excel in support, damage, or survivability, and lacks a clear role in solo or group play.
Suggestions for improvement:
-
Introduce Holy spells that emphasize light, healing, and divine judgment
-
Develop unique Faith mechanics such as sanctified zones, resurrection, or buffs that scale with devotion
-
Make Faith a true specialization with meaningful rewards for deep investment
Faith builds have the potential to offer a rich and spiritually charged experience. Right now, they feel like an afterthought. I understand that this could be in the works but I just wanted to bring attention to an area that could be really fun but just currently lacking an identity. With more thematic depth and mechanical distinction, Faith could become one of the most compelling paths in the game.
