Felt one drop to 35 fps right on this spot, when just arrived
(huge load i guess?). Location near to Sacrament entrance

1440p - Quality - 100% Render Scale - No Dynamic Resolution

I’ve 65-90fps depending on the area in open world, in some areas it even drops below 60fps touching 45-40fps. In these areas the GPU is not exploited 100%, its load remains around 75%-85%. I don’t think it is CPU bottleneck as in other areas the GPU load is smooth, this problem generally occurs in specific areas

I also have a steam deck (oled 512GB), it holds 30 fps in areas with less vegetation and has more pronounced problems in areas with thicker vegetation such as the swamp. It suffers from stutter and heavy framedrop at the time when there are physical interactions, such as destroying barrels or exploding grenades

My specs:

GPU: Rtx 4060 8gb
Ram: 16gb 3200mhz
Game in SSD

My game runs at around 40 to 60 fps, but suffers from frequent drops, especially in open scenes
I find it strange that both the GPU and the CPU do not reach 100% usage (they stay around 75% usage)

Im a MacOS User BUT I use a VM called ShadowPC (Cloud Gaming) for Playing all my Games over a normal “remote” Windows Server/System.

Normaly I can play Games at 4K with 60FPS like War Thunder with High Settings - even Star Citizen “can” run up to 60FPS. (which is hard because of Alpha^^)

No matter on which Resolution and Settings I play: The FPS stay bad around 35-45, even in FullHD…

Ingame Settings:
Monitor Resolution: 3840x1440
Ingame only be able to select 2560x1440 and up to 4k but my Resolution doesn’t show anymore After I closed the game (Yesterday I was be able to play on 3840x1440)
Performance Preset (currently)

“My”/The Server Specs are:
Windows 10 Home
GPU NVIDIA® RTX™ 3070 Ti (A4500)
AMD EPYC™ 7543P (bis 3.7 GHz) 8 vCores
28GB RAM

Performance is generally fine, but occasionally gets noticeably stunned and struggles. Computer runs hot.

Some more performance numbers

On main menu screen (with window at 1440x900) its at 98% GPU usage and holding there. CPU at 22%.

Changed to 3440x1440, max 60 fps, still 99-100% GPU usage on main menu screen.

Running around the market place it was mostly about 80%, occasionally dropped to 67%. Minimized it to type this message and it skyrocketed to 100% again. RAM also at 96% now (had been high but not that high). CPU still at like 50%, so not too taxed.

I am using a laptop with a:
-NVIDIA RTX 2060
-Intel I7-10750H
-16GB of Ram
-SSD 512 GB
-Windows 11

I am getting around 40-50 FPS average on the Performance quality settings. And it stutters to 10-30 FPS in bigger zones. I have made zero changed to any other settings.

Dynamic Res Scaling ON Target 75FPS, X70 Y80

Hovers between 70 - 90 FPS.

Total speculation, but I noticed that I had Dynamic Res Scaling set to 90 matching the FPS limit and I seemed to get more hitching. It may have been triggering the resolution scaling constantly impacting performance.

I know there are a lot of people having issues and won’t discount that. The game obviously needs some optimization, DLSS, FSR, etc. But the performance for native rendering on a 0 day early access game (on my setup) seem pretty good. Better than some recent AAAs on release.

Great job devs!

Areas where I seem to have issues:

  • when you slam through a bunch of barrels at once the sudden object distruction and action almost always causes my game to hitch, like a full on freeze for like a split second
  • when running through an area quickly after killing everything I get more fps drops, maybe loading
  • at the very beginning when you do that pose with the horn my screen goes black for a second in the middle of the pose seriously breaking immersion (somewhat funny to see) - happens every time on new char new realm

I wanted to make a note of this, because I notice that during combat is when I’ve had both the graphical stutters AND the audio stutters happen at the same time. Right at the beginning of a fight, when I take my first swing with a weapon or the enemy does. The sound cuts out and I lose several frames of the animation. It’s like the whole game “hiccups” and then catches up to itself.

Steam deck

Performance is pretty bad. 20-30 fps. Cutscenes go down to 10. When fight gets hectic, fps tanks and in worst cases, game hardlocks.

Please add setting to improve the performance on the deck. Stable 30 fps is a must for an action game.
