Difficulty selector

This is a valid problem.
But I would suggest to solve that, similar to how PoE dealt with hardcore characters and limited Leagues.

One could have each character and each realm bound to its own difficulty.

However, you are able to permanently and irreversibly downgrade a realm or a character. With that, the harder difficulties would stay “pure” and you can still merge characters, and realms if necessary. And also just reduce the difficulty if you are stuck and just want to continue with the story.

Well, you must not have read me very well because at no point have I become the champion of the player base. I give my opinion and other players have shared it, just as others like you have not. You have a closed mentality in which changing your world ruins everything. There are many options that can be applied without harming others: easy game without access to multiplayer, lower value loot, etc. And if applying a lower difficulty makes many players choose it and not follow in your footsteps, it will be because I am not so wrong…

By the way, I defeated Echo Knight with unenchanted armor, a chainsword with electricity and rings of armor + attack…

yep, as i said before, such settings are only possible in a multiplayer game when there are certain rules.

And i am aware this game is in its early stages, but we would need some more inclusivity features. I feel that is more important than working on the difficulty.

I hope things like color blind mode, disabling particles, flashes, camera sway etc. are established before some of our “whishing well” features are added.
