Did you consider adding pets?

Hi,
Did you consider adding pets to your game? Not excatly dog or cat, it could be something small like a bird sitting on our arm or maybe a squirrel. Pet could give as tips about chests or when someone is attacking us from behind.

Ps. Thanks for making this game. Its awesome.

Yeah I would also love to have pets in the game! Would be cool to have them help you collect materials like a dog digging up holes, cats fishing, maybe a beaver cutting down trees or something like that

Same idea! I would like it if there were some pets that I can go around with, not to fight but to recover resources like a dog that digs holes with you/for you, a beaver to cut down trees and a monkey or mini golem for minerals, a bird for fishing.

Exactly! There could also be a leveling system for them like bonding to increase drop chances and so on

I don’t think it’s good. This will make the information complicated.

Squirrels that shows the way to a nearby chest is already in the game.. but you probably wouldn’t think of it because you already knew that the chest were there from the start or you were going in that direction anyway.

But i agree we might want something more further down the hunters trail..

Perfect! Adding little creatures would be so fun and actually useful. They’d be great for cheering us up, plus imagine if they could zip home to stash our stuff when our bags got full! If they did a quick sort while packing it away, it would be one less thing to worry about – we could just deal with the finer sorting and what to keep later when we got home.

Pets are not as good as servants.

A post was split to a new topic: I’m tired of collecting loot

I do not think that adding pets will make this game so much better.

*But maybe a servant in sacrament(town) that will run errands for you(in town.)

*Or something like a Scrappy from Arc Raiders(game), that collects random loot you can get once a day when talking to the servant (the servant can be a loot goblin?)

*Or maybe add a loot goblin that runs in a random place in sacrament you can catch and release(challange to run after); the reward is some loot.

There aren’t the usual RPG races in this game, so I don’t think a goblin would make sense.

But from a gameplay point of view it’s a nice idea, it would also help players explore Sacrament since many fail to learn it and then get lost.

It would be enough to replace the goblin with something like a monkey, or a bird, or a dog.

Or a human in a horse costume that we also possibly could ride on

I mean theres alot of stables in the game but not a single horse to feed or pet?

(Not counting the horse inside the crucible)

:exclamation_question_mark: (wtf)

I think the reason is that the devs can’t justify putting horses into the game yet, as the map is too narrow and complicated to be traversable on horseback.

But if they include horses as pets but they aren’t rideable people will definitely complain.

True, at some point we will definitely complain

Well i mean the balak taw is humans in a bird costume.. you know when they call for help? if you can make the same guy call for help multiple times it will at some point be a naked human that shows up (or atleast what happened to me after i had locked them in behind the gate in Lowland Meadows near the windmill)

I would ofc rather have the goats or the boar as battle pets :+1:
