[Combined] Game is freezing on Moon Studios startup logo animation, and closes

I have been waiting for 20 days and tried many methods, including any mentioned in this post. I updated my graphics card driver, reinstalled the game, supplemented the game running code base, and even took out my spare graphics card. This problem remains unsolved. Even though I had 80 hours of game time before the update, this is a strange and annoying question, and I have no intention to accuse you of technical mistakes. Just because I can’t find any way to continue my game now. I hope moon Studio can provide a refund method! thank you!

has anyone tried the spacebar spam method i mentioned above? might help narrow it down if that actually works.

Updated my pc, now my specs are tripled in power and everything works just fine. Will sink my teeth in this game immediately. Thank you for your support​:white_heart:

I tried it before and after the update nothing changed – same problem-- i think it’s a hardware problem ( some kind of cpu requirements or something )

I tried that before requesting a refund, but it didn’t work.

The support and official communication from the developers regarding this issue is unfortunate. I found threads on Steam where players have been experiencing this problem since March, and no developers have appeared to provide support either.

Fortunately, the moderators are the only ones interested in this issue. Thank you.

i can assure you, the issue is being investigated and has been escalated. unfortunately it seems hard to pin down, as users have very different setups and there seem to be “solutions” that work for some but not for others.

so i’ll try to help with communicating possible solutions to you guys and give your feedback back to the team as best i can.

and i am sure most of you tried it already, but maybe a clean install of drivers would be another possible solution? tools like DDU can help with that.

and any feedback u guys have regarding what helped u specifically will help investigate things as well.

I’ve tried jamming space as well to no avail.

I think in the past a ‘debug build’ was made available through steam; I’m not sure how useful the .dmp files are in tracking these issues down as opposed to a full stack trace. If this can be done again I’m happy to help test.

We Sincerly apologize for those who are experiencing this issue. We are continuing to investigate this. Its not a easy one, there are a few “quick fixes” that work for some but not for all.

Thank you to all those who provided the required files for us to investigate. This one is especially hard since we cannot reproduce it internally. So the work you all have put into this is GREATLY appreciated.

Hi Steve, we gonna got news about this problem on the upcoming update? I wanted to try the Game again, but not sure if buy it on EA again or wait for the full release.

We got no fix guys. I just buy it again and nothing! Sorry, but this looks like a joke. This is the goodbye for me. Game not recommended.

So, while we continue to investigate we may have found a solution. No promises it works for all since this is a complicated issue, where there are many fixes but not one works for all.

If I can have a volunteer to test out this fix it would be appreciated, as nobody at moon has experienced this we cannot reproduce it internally.

It’s a mockery! It’s been almost half a year since the problem started!I have to play from someone else’s computer. Even though it has the same specifications as my own.

Any news Steve ? Did you find any testers ? Can you share the solution you found ? Maybe we can try it too.

They have no real interest in helping or solving this problem. I bet they’ll just come up with a generic “solution” that, as always, won’t fix anything.

Have you guys figured it out yet? How much longer do we have to wait to play the game we’ve payed for ?
I mean obviously most people here are patient and support you, but this is getting ridiculous.

So, full transparency, this isn’t a one-fixes-all issue.
We have identified 3 fixes for others, but each had their own fix.
We have to find the specific reason for yours.

Based off your logs, it seems to be Fix #1

Fix #1

  • Nvidia Vsync, in the Nvidia control panel - manage 3d settings - Virtual Sync (off)

Fix #2

  • Xinput, some users report Xinput being missing and downloading and adding it fixes it for them

Fix #3

  • Pagefile, some users report that increasing their pagefile stops a lot of crashes for them, not just this one.

This is something we have to tackle one by one basis to narrow down all of the issues causing this.

  1. The solutions you’re proposing were discovered by other users months ago; it wasn’t through NRFTW support, so it’s not a solution provided by you.

  2. As I mentioned in the previous post, the solutions mentioned were discovered MONTHS AGO!

This means you’re trying to deceive us by saying you’re working on solutions or that you have new ones; it’s a lie! You’ve had multiple reports on this forum and on Steam. The users who experienced this issue months ago simply abandoned the game due to NRFTW’s lack of support and seriousness. For me, this is a huge disappointment and a shame. I used to admire you a lot, but that’s in the past.
