[Combined] Game is freezing on Moon Studios startup logo animation, and closes

Game picture freezes after the moon studios logo disappears on launch. no troubleshooting worked.

Someone on steam suggested turning V-sync off in control panel to fix the bug and it worked. Devs need to fix that issue ASAP

The game doesn’t launch. All that I have is a black screen where it was supposed to have the title screen. I can hear the introduction song, and that’s it. Graphics are updated, and my pc has very higher specs than recommended

I’m having the same issue; game files are verified, drivers updated. No dice :frowning:

Same issue here, tried several times and rebooted PC. Loaded on my Steamdeck but got a diff issue there. I’ll add that if I try it on PC through big picture same thing happens then it completely closes steam.

So, I have an SSD and a hard drive sata. At my first install, I installed in my HD sata, I uninstalled and reinstalled in my ssd, and the game worked fine

I have an arc a770 with latest drivers. I also reinstalled older driver just in case. I can run all other games (dragon’s dogma 2, diablo 4, etc.). I get to the title screen and start game/continue. It begins to load the game, and then the game crashes back to Steam.

I’m assuming this is an arc a series driver issue. please optimize/fix for this graphics card set.

After the “Moon Studios” screen, the game fades to black with the “o” from “Moon” still visible.

Specs:
Ryzen 5 5600G
GeForce RTX 4060
16GB RAM
NVMe M.2 SSD
I’m using a TV as monitor with a resolution of 3840 × 2160.

I solved it by disabling vsync (fast) from Nvidia settings.

I hope the bug will be fixed soon.

Turning off V sync in nvidia control panel works for me. Sadly the in game v sync doesnt get rid of screen tear for me like it does in other games. GTX 1660ti

Hello, today the game freezes after the initial logo screen Moon Studio.

i found the issue, i turn off the vsync to the control panel nvidia and the game start correctly.

Since the latest update (21/04) the game ‘starts’ in the background, never shows and stops ‘running’ after 2 minutes…

I’m using Intel i7-7820x 3,6Ghz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070ti, only have SSD for windows 11 x64 (not much space left), games on solid state drive Barracuda st2000DM001-1ER164, 32 G memory
Alienware Area 51 R5

Got the same problem, seems the game doesn’t even load. The game start, got Moon Studio and Private Division logo, loading screen freeze and the game just “stop” by itself  pretty frustrating

Haven’t had anything like this on my setup today. Might help if you both include your system specs in case this is specific to a model of hardware/software combination.

I’ve tried running the game as administrator, I could have played like that

Try to place an exemption for the game in your anti-virus. That fixed one type of crashing for me.

The new update fixed it .
I started a new game to test the difference, results being longer loading times, sometimes stuttering sounds, but fluid playing…
The only problem that remains is the fact you can only exit at those savepoints (but not at the first one in the tower, meaning you have to play at least an hour before you can exit the first time). Lacking that time, I had to exit with the windows key and ending the running program on the taskbar ..

i dont know what to do, the game wont launch the only thing that happens is that i get a black screen with the backround music and if i press anything my pc will give me an error saying norestforthewicked.exe doesnt react. pls help
